bloomli wrote:Alisa: Congrats on your Beta doubling!!!!! That's so exciting :P I can totally see how it could be the situation of a vanishing twin that has caused your Betas to be wacky. I had that with my first IVF too. I am confident that your Betas will continue to double, and that you'll see a beautiful, healthy baby beginning to grow at your U/S on Monday! Now, hopefully, you can enjoy the rest of your weekend :D

Cristie: I'm incredibly sorry for what you had to go through today. I am glad that everything went well, but know that it doesn't make what you went through any easier. It is totally understandable that you don't want to go back to your OB's office anytime soon. Do what's best for you, and avoid the things that will make your grieving and healing process harder :( You are so sweet to offer such nice and positive thoughts for everyone after you went through something so devastating. I will continue to think about you, and know that your beautiful baby will be on it's way soon!

Dawn: I'm so sorry that you have to go through all of this extra stress, waiting, and medical testing on top of all that you've been through with IVF, and then your Beta numbers :( You're right though, just remember that your BFP is not going to change! Let us know what tomorrow's numbers are, but I"m sure that they'll be right where they should be :) I'm glad you're getting a second opinion, and hopefully he/she will have some good news for you. Stay strong hun!

I have my next Beta in the morning, and I am very nervous. I really don't think it'll be good news, but I guess I'll know that tomorrow :| I'm still bleeding, and I wish it would just stop already! I'll keep you guys posted with tomorrow's results.

~ Lindsay
That bleeding is your little one digging in!!!! I know your Beta will be double tomorrow. I'll post mine as soon as I get it. My mom is going with me to the hospital lab to wait the results with me instead of waiting on the RE Nurse to let me know. I wish I could take that nervousness away for you! But I know that you worry anyway, I believe we all do. I'm getting stubborn as a bull but I am a Taurus! LOL!

Cristie- What you experienced was definitely traumatic and you may not ever go back to your OB. I wouldn't blame you. Its really just unbelievable the things we are able to survive. I am so sorry again. You are being very strong in your sadness. Please let us know if there is anything you need and of course feel free to say whatever you want in this safe place. I have been wondering about how your DH is doing. I think mine won't let me know he is hurting when he is because he is genuinely hurting for me the most. I am sure he is being strong for you. Thank God for wonderful husbands. I will keep praying for you both.

Lindsay- thinking of you and hoping that we all have beta miracles. Looking forward to seeing some good news today.

Dawn- how terrifying! I am so sorry you are going through this and plus all the worry with the pregnancy. Prayers to you too.

Ladies I've been away for a few days and so much has happened in our group. I literally just went through an emotional roller coaster reading all of the posts.

Cristie: I'm so sorry about your loss. I wish I was there to give you a big hug. We are all he for you. I will continue to pray for your strength.

Alisa: Congrats on your doubled Beta numbers! How exciting.

Dawn: Girl you are going through a lot right now. I agree totally with the second opinion.

Lindsay: I am praying the bleeding isn't anything serious. Your Beta will continue to rise.

Christy: Always thinking of you and wishing you well each day

I will light a prayer candle for all of you ladies tonight. I pray each day for our strength and courage to continue to move forward through this emotional process. Love you ladies!

AFM: I went in to my RE on Thursday to get my mock transfer. Well, I thought the issue with the tube was squashed. However, apparently it's not. Another group of doctors were in to do my mock transfer and one of them said that my HSG pics showed that my tube did have fluid in it and excessive damage. They went over the removal option again with me. I explained to them that I was already on board to have the tube removed but I hadn't heard back from anyone to schedule the surgery. She quickly said "your doctor will be in touch with you". They performed another ultrasound and said that they would reschedule the mock transfer later. This is very frustrating because I've been in 3 times already. Each time I see a different doctor and never my doctor. I haven't seen my doctor since 5/2/13! I called the clinic on yesterday to leave a message demanding to have my doctor call me back to schedule the surgery. During my orientation I had on 5/24 that nurse gave me my calendar with all of my dates for shots, ER, and ET. Now all of that is null and void until after the surgery. The surgery should have been talked about during my orientation and scheduled at that time. (Not to mention during the orientation I brought up 3 times that my original doctor suggested laproscopic surgery to remove my remaining tube. The doctors said everything looked fine and urged to move forward). I already purchased the meds and my ARC loan is approved. Now I'm just waiting for a call. Ugh. I'm sorry about my little tirade. I'm just so ready and I'm just at a stand still right now.

Kristy- Tirade away! My clinic OFTEN forgets I don't have tubes. On Tuesday I had to remind the nurse when talking about a possible ectopic and then the SAME nurse said on Friday "its probably not in the tube or it wouldn't double like it should". My OB also asked me what my birth control plans were after I had Evelyn. I was like, "huh? I can get pregnant without tubes?. LOL. My point is, it has already started for you before those tubes are even out of there. Sorry you are delayed.. but it will be worth it when you have your baby.

Hi ladies- Unfortunately, I don't have good news to post :-( My Beta went down today, as I assumed it would. I guess that still doesn't make the news any easier, but I'm trying to keep my head up and think that it'll all be worth it in the end. I'm just so frustrated that after 2 fresh IVF's and 1 FET, we have had no success  I have to call and schedule an appointment with a new doctor at my clinic (the DH and I haven't been thrilled with my current doctor, and the other one has done most of my procedures, as it's just based off of who's on-call). For now, I'm out of the game, but I will keep you ladies posted. Thinking of you all, and hoping for better news than I had!

Oh Lindsay, I am sorry. I know exactly how you feel. After my third attempt I was ready to quit! But God gave me Evelyn on that 4th cycle. I read somewhere that over 70% of couple will have a healthy baby if they hang in there for 6 transfers. I hope your next one is the one. I am so sorry, this is so incredibly tough!!!

Lindsay- So sorry to hear about your dropping beta. This journey takes a killer toll on us. Know your in my thoughts and prayers.

Alisa-This has been quite the beta experience for you. You have handled it well and been one tough cookie. Keep it up girl. I am praying you will prevail and bring that little one home.

Dawn-I am in shock you are going through so much. I agree as well with the second opinion. These trials make us stronger and force us to grow in ways we never thought possible. Hang in there.

Kristy- What a pain in the butt. You have to stay on top of your own case and light fires under their pants to get results. Is this the only clinic near you? I hope you can talk to your Re soon and get all this worked out.

Ironchef- Pray all is going well with your cycle and you get the BFP you deserve.

Amanda- Hoping all is well.

AFM- Healing and hanging in there. Clinic should call on Monday to check on me. Will inquire what I need to start again. Only want to do a fresh DE cycle and my clinics web site only list frozen now. Hope that is still an option there. Don't want to change. Can't sleep and wishing I had taken something. Thank you ladies for all your thoughts and prayers. I am doing better than I thought I would or maybe I am just fooling myself. Hope it is the first. Will write more soon.

Lindsay-I'm so sorry that this is happening to you. I'll keep you in my prayers. You are strong and I know you'll be very successful very soon!

Alisa-You are going through so much and I pray that you get to bring your bundle of joy home.

Kristy- I know it's aggravating. Keeping your sanity an pushing forward takes a lot of inner strength and determination. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ironchef- Home this cycle proves to be successful for you. Keeping you in my prayers.

Amanda- Praying all is well.

Cristie- You have been through so much. I'm sorry and I pray that you are able to move forward again when you are ready.

My beta for 06/01 178.2. It doubled. Feeling somewhat better. Hopefully over pneumonia soon. Thought about skipping Betas this week just to give myself a break but DH doesn't feel comfortable in doing so. Repeat bloodwork Monday to check me thoroughly again and find out who & when my 2nd opinion is scheduled. DH should see the hematologist this week as well. He seems to be feeling somewhat better. He actually sat in the recliner with me until I fell asleep. Oh, the recliners my new bed since May 14th. I'm praying for all of you! Lots of love, hugs & kisses!

Cristie- I don't think you are fooling yourself. I think it may get harder but it helps to have a plan. Just curious- why only fresh? I have only been successful with FET. I feel like my body is more receptive. But everyone is different. Sending you lots of love

Dawn- congrats on the doubling beta. If you are feeling you need time off... take time off. You and DH can't control the outcome and having you feel good and as relaxed as you can be is important right now. Good luck and get some rest.

Cristie- having a "duh" moment... I guess with donor your body will be just as receptive as with FET since you won't be stemming. I get it...

I think I'm just exhausted. DH is worried that if I don't go the RE will think I MC. So to keep him calm, I'm going. I'm just tired. Being sick has just taken a bigger tole on me than I thought. Thank you for caring!
Going to shower & nap. Sounds like a good way to relax today.

Thank you all for your kind words. I am going in to meet with the RE on Wednesday. She is not "my" RE, but she has done most of my procedures (all but one) thus far, since at my clinic you get whoever's in that day. My DH and I like her a lot better, and I'm hoping that she'll be more receptive to hearing an questions/suggestions that I have. With that being said, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to ways I could possibly change my protocol to maybe have a better outcome. Both fresh IVF cycles I have done what I believe is called an "antagonistic" protocol: BCP's, Lupron, then Menopur and Gonal F for stims. The first time I had 15 eggs retrieved, 10 fertilized, and only 1 of those became a blastocyst by day 5 (2 were frozen on day 6, but none of them took on the FET). This cycle I had 13 eggs retrieved, 9 fertilized, and none were blastocysts on day 5, while only one was able to be frozen on day 6. I'm afraid part of my problem is my egg quality, because I feel like I should have better embryos. Does anyone have any suggestions on different protocols that might work better for me? I'm open to anything!

Dawn: Stay strong, and it's great that your Beta doubled again! Your little one is strong and fighting in there, and I have a good feeling that he/she will be your little miracle :-)

Everyone else, keep us posted as you start your next cycle, or are awaiting beta results!

Hello Ladies, I just thaough I would give quick update and send some positive thoughts towards your way. I am at week 8.5 now, everything looks good and baby is growing fast:). At week 6 I started having nausea, horrible food aversions and overall fatigue. I am a horrible complainer and I let everyone know, especially my poor husband how I feel. So basically to all of you that during 2 WW do not feel anything, it is normal! and very expected! you usually start feeling that you are pregnant at week 6 and it is no fun. I wake up with nausea and go to bed with it, and the smell, OMG it is like I have super powers I can smell everything. Thank God I am not vomiting but food aversions are very bad, I eat very little because I am just not hungry and when I think about food I feel sicker. My doc is saying this is normal and even weight loss can happen (that reminds me, I need to buy a scale):). So ladies good luck, I cannot wait for my little miracle and I wish this sick feeling was already over :)

Hi I'm new to this forum but its so nice to have others to chat with. I got my first beta result today--BFP!! My level is 323. This is a lot higher than my 1st betas in the past and I hope everything is ok. We transferred 2 embryos. Any thoughts from others who have gotten their betas?! Good luck to everyone!!!
