Hello everyone! I'd like to introduce myself since it has been a while since I've been on this board. My name is Mishell and my husband and I were fortunate enough to welcome our beautiful daughter Brynn last September after having a FET. It was my 3rd IVF attempt after the first two fresh cycles failed miserably. Well we are back for FET round two with the last two of our frosties and we couldn't be more excited to try and give Brynn a sibling. Statistically speaking from my failed attempts, I am excited but also skeptical and even scared all at the same time. I'm sure we all go through these emotional roller coasters during our journeys with IVF and so I didn't want to go it alone. I haven't quite gotten a chance to read back as to the latest happenings on this board but I'm sure I will soon. In the meantime, I might as well give you the latest update with my appointments. Today was my pre-consultation appointment with the same Dr who did my other cycles. Since I am still nursing my daughter, I will have to try to wean her onto formula in the next couple of weeks if we want to aim for an August transfer. Bittersweet but it with good reason and we would like to have children near in age if we can help it. After the weaning we can begin the tests and mock transfer..etc. So that's where I am in the process. Looking forward to getting to know you all and to anyone who will be cycling this summer!

Hi Mishell! Congrats on the birth of your daughter Brynn. How exciting! Best of luck with your next FET. Keep us posted on how things are going. I know what you mean about being excited as well as scared at the same time. That's exactly how I feel every time. My husband and I have been TTC for 9 years. We have done many IVF cycles which have failed and been heartbreaking in the process. My last FET was in May and happy news at my first beta-I am pregnant! In the past my beta levels have been on the low side but this time my first was 323 and 2 days later 995!! I am excited by the numbers but scared too. I am currently in the miserable waiting period until my ultrasound in a couple weeks. Trying not to go crazy and think too much. ☺ It is so nice to have other ladies to go through it with.
I just wanted to say hi and wish you success with your next FET. Fingers crossed it goes as well as your last one!
I look forward to hearing updates!

Sunshine - Both girls are doing great. We did find out Thanksgiving weekend that Samantha has type 1 diabetes, and that was a very scary weekend. She is now doing very well and is on a pump. Our other daughter is amazing (and praying she does not have the same disease. We are having her tested at Stanford for the antibodies this summer to see if she does.).

SuzyQ/Cristie- M/C at 9 1/2 weeks. Waiting for beta to go to zero to match and cycle again. :(
Bloomi/Lindsay-Waiting on beta to go to zero and start testing.
Mylove/Dawn-BFP Hope you get to feeling better.
Brightstar/Kristy-Tube issues and waiting to start.
Sunshine/Christy-18 weeks pregnant. Find out the sex 6/21.
BlissfulCS/Alisa-BFP 1st BETA-60, Second BETA-100, and waiting on U/S results.
Jenmubdss/Jennifer 2 WW
Cshell717- Welcome and good luck on your FET
Kasia- 9 weeks pregnant and feeling the ms.
Christy- Congrats on the beta of 995. U/S scheduled 6/19.

Hope I have not missed anyone. I am thinking of you all and your are in my prayers.

AFM-Friday had beta of 595 so I will have to wait a few more weeks till it hits zero. Paid my deposit on Friday for new cycle, but wont match me till I hit zero. I needed a change of scenery so we went to lake Chelan and went camping on Friday. It was really nice to get away. We made it back in time for church on Sunday which was horrible. 3 ladies announced they were pregnant within days of my previous due date. That makes about 8 ladies now pregnant. Needless to say I was very angry all day. I should expect this since I am Mormon...........LOL.

I am much better today. Excepting my beta and just waiting. I really think God puts people in our lives for a reason. The last 3 weeks at swim lessons a new mom has made it a point to be very friendly and we have hit it off. Today she told me DS was from IVF and she had just done an FET with a BFN. I shared my story as well. Our boys are 2 mths apart. We have a ton in common. We exchanged numbers and will have a play date next week. I also think each of you are here for a reason. The support and love we give each other is vital.

Sorry if I am not on a lot. Just trying to take a step back. Will keep you posted. Lots of love.

Alisa- I can not get you off my mind, I was so sure everything would work out this cycle so it brought sadness to find out the news today... Ugh I wish there were words to take away the pain, we know this journey can be rough but we are always here for you. Hugs from across the ocean tonight and do take care of yourself and kiss that sweet girl, tell her how much she is loved.

Sorry my mind just isn't here tonight, been getting the house ready for a cookout this weekend with my whole neighborhood. It's been a distraction, maybe sometimes distractions are good.

Hey ladies- sorry I haven't updated. It has been a tough couple of days. as Sunshine indicated, our ultrasound on Tuesday did not go well. Blighted ovum (AKA empty gestational sac). The sac measuered 5 weeks 2 days and I was 6 weeks 5 days. They suspect I will need a D and C but we are going to give it a couple of weeks to see if my body miscarries naturally. I have been so incredibly sad but am also moving forward. Set up a consultation with my RE and also CCRM today. I also went to my beloved exercise class that I haven't been able to go to for weeks. Of course I would rather be pregnant with a healthy baby, but at least I can appreciate the silver linings (like no shots or blood work for awhile).

How bad does it stink that there are 3 of us on here praying for betas to go DOWN. Lindsey, Cristie, and now me. Mine is over 10,000 so we have a long way to go. The good news is that I have a work trip in July and can't even think about cycling until after my August period.

Dogsrule/JenMink/Mishell- I remember you ladies and appreciate your support. Glad things are going well for you with your little ones. Stopping breastfeeding is always bittersweet but you are right... totally worth it. Also glad the type 1 diabetes is under control. Why does it seem IVF ladies always have new and unexpected hurdles to overcome? Good luck JenMink!

Dawn- I have very high hopes for you and think your numbers are good. My only fear is you running out of blood from all the betas!

Sunshine- thanks for your thoughts. This is my first loss, my trouble has always been with GETTING pregnant. Its so hard. But I am already looking forward. Hope you and Michael are enjoying the pregnancy despite the work challenges and that you are enjoying vacay.

Wow, a lot has been going on since the last time i came on..
@Blissful I'm so sorry to hear about your blighted ovum

@CShell717 We welcome you back to group and wish u a baby dust this year..U didnt say how ur appointment was with your doctor

@ Christy you are truly a success story for those of us who have been TTC for many years, my DH and I have been trying from 2010 and still waiting.. lets see how this cycle goes, I am praying that all goes well for you and ur DH during your pregnancy

@Christie, I am sorry that you have to be going through all this at least u have ur ivf sisters here to share in what no one else can understand.

Well for me, I've been off the board for a while, so far I've finished the menopur/buserelin got my HCG shot on tuesday, and did egg retrieval yesterday, I've now started to take cyclogest (up the rear, at the clinic they told me that the rear is better is they dont want anything to interfiere with the insertion of the embryos) as well as progynova
I know this is a strange question but can someone tell me how long I have to wait to use the bathroom after I use the cyclogest?
I am for appt later todat and they will tell me when embryo transfer will be.. BTW they retrieved all of 10 eggs!!!

Alisa- My heart aches for you. I have been doing every thing I know to lower my HCG as fast as possible. Working out 90 minutes a day and sitting in sauna 20 mins. Also, read drinking fresh parsley tea and up to 6000mg daily of vitamin C helps speed up the process. You are one tough cookie to let it go naturally. I did that last time and wanted the D&C this time to have it end. Took 5 weeks for HCG to drop last time. This time has been much easier physically. Wishing you lots of love and hugs right now.

Iornchef- Congrats on 10 eggs. That is great. Looking forward to the fert report.

AFM=Well it is not zero, but 87 is better than I expected from 595. I go back next Friday for one more draw. I really think hitting the gym and sauna helped it drop. My nurse said she guessed it would be 250. She also said she would schedule b/w after next weeks beta of zero for some additional testing to see if they can find anything contributing to m/c. Also, will schedule uterus evaluation on cd3 and start BCP on day 4 of my next period. I hope this means I will not have to wait months on end to match with a donor. We have decided to do a shared cycle where we get 8 mature eggs and the rest go to egg bank. Coordinator said I could be matched much quicker this way. Trying to stay positive since I bawled all the way home from the clinic today.

Thanks Cristie. I read that some women like the closure of a D&C and I didn't understand why someone would want to do something so invasive. Fast forward a few days and I am going crazy waiting to move on from this. I totally get it. I am sorry you are hurting and cried all the way home from the clinic. I have good moments when I am looking forward and then I will have something hit me, whether it's running across a happy old post or a call from our clinic and I feel so much pain! I did acupuncture today, went to exercise class Thursday and am going to start training for a July 10k tonight. I don't have access to a sauna but I do have a hot tub and may try that after my run. I am glad your level is so low! You will be at zero and moving forward soon.

Congrats on 10 eggies iron chef!

Congratulations Ironchef on being PUPO!! :D
MyLove how are you doing?
Alisa- When is your consultation? I hope they look back at the records and see that you were never charged before.

AFM; We had a huge turnout last night with the summer cookout, neighbors, friends from volleyball, and people we work with altogether 32 people. (10 kids and 22 adults) Michael was at work until 6:25 so when the first guest showed up at 5:06 I had the guys help me grill and the ladies prepare in the kitchen, neighbors who were standing around offered to help me out and I let them. The kitchen got pretty crowded with more guest brinigng in dishes too, at one point we moved the appetizers out to the patio. it was nearly 8:00 until it was all set and ready. The candles and tiki torches glowed from the extended long ranch-style patio with tables set up on 3 sections, from a distance looked more like a bistro cafe'. It was alot of work but a lovely evening. I keep thinking about the next get-together this Christmas but then I'm like what am I doing? The next one has to be at someone else's house. :D

Christy- sounds like a wonderful and busy evening. You are smart to let someone else take Christmas... I hosted when I was a month away from Ev's due date and ended up in the hospital with bleeding and contractions :-0. Consultation is July 10th with my RE and July 16th with CCRM. My Current RE's business office did call to tell me that they made a mistake and since it is a post op it's free of charge.
