Post by Jelliebabe »

Anyhow - How many of you are or have done the same? How did you choose your clinic? We re all just a bit bamboozled at the moment... Don't want to rush into it but really cant wait any longer either LOL :D

Any and ALL advice welcome please pitch in X

Hi! I am right now at Ukrainian clinic in Kiev, waiting for my transfer in 4 days, I really like here, they are really professional and the clinic in full of kinds (from surrogacy, making document), it is crowding and busy and it is very comfortable, I saw 6 clinics for my attempts to have a baby, so I am full of hope here. I have met a woman that has come here for her second child from UK, she is super happy with her little girl and they want a brother for her:) so if you like to know, it is BioTexCom clinic, you can google, it is quite easy to find them in internet.
Hope I have helped you. You will need no visa for Ukraine.
Best regards, Elly

Hi everyone! :)
I noticed this post and decided to share our story and recomendations with you guys.

Me and my husband came back from a fertility clinic in Ukraine about a onth ago (more and more people seem to recommend fertility clinics in Ukraine for the past two years). So after we tried lots of cycles in Israel, Greece and India we decided to go and try it in Ukraine. At first we searched all prons and cons of turning to Ukrainian reproductive clinics throughout the internet.
The main cons for us were:
- our mistrust (we've been doing IVF unsuccessfully for 5 years straight);
- a strange country (we have never been to Ukraine and didn't know what to expect from it, and we were worried about our health and the health of our future baby!);
- the language barrier.
On the other hand there were reasonable pros:
- the legislation which supports assisted reproductive technologies (ART);
- beautiful donors;
- proffesional staff, I mean both doctors and managers;
- comparably low prices (as for an avarage US salary).

So while searching we came across lots of medical tourism agencies and sure lots of clinics. We e-mailed a couple of agencies to find out what clinics they work with, and start looking through their websites. So we also e-mailed a couple of clinics and picked the one we liked best! If you are interested that was "Mother and child" clinics in Kiev. We were really happy we picked this clinic! The medical equipment is up-to-date, the doctors are really nice and surely proffesionals! The staff knows English, and our patient coordinator from international department was such a nice lady! She provided us with all information needed and supported us throughout the programm.

Finally, what I'd like to say is...THERE IS A BABY ON THE WAY!!!!!....We're on cloud nine... :D
So I would really say it is worth trying! And hopefully, in two years we will come back for a second baby! :) And it will definetely be "Mother and child" clinics in Kiev! (by the way, the city is really magnificient, especially at night)

So if any of you need some additional information or the contacts of our patient coordinator - feel free to ask! :wink:
Good bless you all!

if you look for a good fertility clinic in Eastern Europe, just now there two popular destinations: Czech Rep and Poland. Unfortunately I cannot help with clinics in Czech rep, but in Poland I can recommend Invicta fertulity clinics, based in Warsaw (a capital of Poland) and Gdansk. Clinics are certified internationally (also US), a member of eshre, high success rate (almost 50%), excellent diagnostic PGD, PGD NGS and eggs freezing. Affordable prices and high quality service. To be sure, you can check any national rankings and see that clinics have been top rated for many years.

Hello all, I’m interested in the donation process. I’m 47 and due to menopause I don’t have eggs left. This is my second marriage and my spouse would like to have children. This is the reason for my decision. Prices in the UK are expensive and so from my research I noticed prices in Cyprus are more reasonable. Are there any clinics in Cyprus you may reccommend.

Hi everyone! Has someone experienced the surrogacy option in one of those clinics in Ukraine? I am opting for it but I am afraid of the prices. I went through 5 bfn and do not know how to feel now as I have lost all of my trust to the doctors, I want to be sure that my tx will be successful but I know that there is no guarantee. Seeing how you all recommend those clinics makes me think that in Ukraine there are a lot of reproduction centers where I could’ve possible get into the surrogacy program. I’ll appreciate your replies! Thanks.

Hi dear! I hope you'll find clinic, where you'll receive proper treatment! We chose Ukrainian clinic. The search was long and difficult. I remember we contacted a couple of clinics. But some of them answered in a week or even more! Some of them didn't answer our questions, some just ignored us. I think communication with clients should be one of the most important things for clinics. Because their attitude makes the first impression. First communication is decisive. Biotexcom didn't make us to wait. They sent us email with all info we needed. To be honest I also thought that Ukrainian medicine stuck in the past. They have photos on their website. There are pics of the clinic and apartments which they provide. But I had doubts till I saw everything with my own eyes. I should say that was such a relief to see modern equipment and fashionable design.

We didn't choose donor, but we gave our doctor features we'd like to see in our donor. Our program coordinator sent us 3 variants by mail. We wanted our donor to look like me. So we asked our doctor to find donor with my features. We sent list with desirable phenotype of donor to our program coordinator. We chose lovely girl, who looks similar with me to be our donor. It was important for us the clinic to check donors carefully. I read so many stories about donors with genetic diseases. That was so sad and horrible. Children are born with genetic diseases only because of doctors’ negligence. We were really afraid that doctors might miss something. I really want my child to be healthy and happy. I don't want him/her suffer during whole life because of physical and mental pain. We all know how cruel can be other children and how they bulling kids because they are not like others... Our doctor told us they check not only donors, but their relatives too. So there is no risk of genetic diseases.

We were in Ukraine in July. We had sperm pick-up, fertilization of donor’s eggs and embryos transfer. Now I'm pregnant! So at this moment I'm fully satisfied with my choice)

hi, Jelliebabe)
When you're choosing a clinic you just need to make a list of all important criterias, find the best variants and compare them. Contact with the clinics and finally choose the best for you.
I know couple who used surrogacy after many years failed attempts. They were fully desperate and one day they realizes that there is a chance and they used it. It was very hard for them with making decision where to go. Many doubts, many fears, many suspicious sights... But they just made solid decision and continued. After few months of these doubts they decided to go to Ukraine. There were few reasons for that. Firstly, the cost isn't so high, as in other countries. When they were there they were also surprised about prices everywhere - shops, restaurants, different attractions - it's really much more cheaper than anywhere in Europe. Also what was very important - legal issues, but they were satisfied with that, cause the staff is high qualified there. And after that they began their journey. Of course, it was a little worrying during all the process, but they are very positive people and didn't let to have any bad thoughts. Now they are very happy FULL family with a nice, beautiful baby) Hope, this will help) Best regards)

Infertility is such a heartbreak... and sometimes funding doesn't support your plans. If you have considered going abroad for the reproductive procedure then you need to consider Ukraine and the Adonis clinic. It's one of the best in the region for IVF and assisted IVF. You can take a look at their website to know more about the process and see if any suit your case.

If you have considered going abroad for the reproductive procedure
agreed. Myself I know some women, who underwent IVF treatment in Polish clinics (Gdansk) and Zlin. However, if you want to compare prices and success rates, I would recommend visiting sites such as whereivf com or eggdonationfriends where you would find useful info xx
