I wanted to start a thread for those who are in the process of a feb / mar 2014 cycle. It is always great to have cycle buddies to go through the process with. Right now I am schedule for a FET transfer on Feb 11th! I look forward to meeting others who are going through the process too and support each other in the process!
hi rhubarby2! how are you? i am glad that you started this thread! im going through the ivf cycle and i just went to the bloodtest (e2) and ultrasound this
morning. im starting follistim and menapuor shots this evening. i just dont feel very positive sometimes and would like support what is ur process now?? i look forward seeing u all!
Hi guys! I'd like to join your group if possible. My IVF start has been has been delayed due to ovarian cysts that we found today in my Sonohyst/TET. I am so disappointed that we now have to wait. I was due to start Lupron next Tuesday, but my RE thinks it would be best to give the cysts a month to go down. I have a large one on my left ovary and 2on the right side. So.....I am delayed a month. I will continue on the bcp through this pack and will call back on CD 4 in February to get my new schedule and cyst check scan set up. The new plan should have my transfer mid-late march.
hello, i understand that this process requires a lot of patience... ur time will come, hung in there!! but i am glad that u joined this thread!!
so i took the first shots (follistrim and menopur) last nite. this morning, i decided to stop caffinated coffee after my doc told me 1 cup per day. i usually drink 3 per day. not sure what the reason was, but i had very bad headache! so i finally drink a coffee and it went away! do u also avoid caffine??
as for the ivf, it is my 2nd time. the first one was in summer 2011 and i had a baby boy in spring 2012. i dont remember how i was feeling back then, but i feel negative and scare to fail this time. because of my age (im 38) and insurance/finance situations, this will b our last trial... i would like to know how everyone keeps the sprit up. do u feel negative too?? in the clinic, there r 26 ppl going through this cycle acxording to a nurse. but we dont talk in thr waiting room and it is a bit awkward. do ppl talk at ur clinic??
I'm brand new to IVF and to the group. I am still learning all the medical terminology and abbreviations/acronyms so bear with me through my posts. I'm 35 and DH is 40. Vasectomy 15 years ago after 4 daughters from 1st marriage. Now here we are hoping to conceive. I had my egg-removal December 5th, but delayed embryo transfer until February at Dr.'s suggestion because of hyper-stimulation. I had 33 eggs removed, 27 fertilized, 18 survived, and we did PGD on 8. 4 were genetically normal. 3 female and 1 male. We will implant the male, as hubby already has 4 girls. I was told the little guy is the weaker of the 4 embies but I am sure pulling for him!! The boy, I'm told is ac, and the girls are all aa.
I just started my period a few days ago so this means we are springing in to action to gear up for a transfer mid-late February. I have started estradiol 3x/day and will, I believe start progesterone in the days leading up to the transfer.
I'm full of nervous excitement and pleased to have a forum to share in our journeys together.
After reading so many IVF forums and blogs I decided to join one. I'll be starting Lupron hopefully next Thursday and if all goes well the egg retrieval/transfer in early March. I'll be stimming with Gonal F and Menopur. I'm most worried about the side effects. Can you share any of your experiences with them? Anyone else doing ICSI?
Hi Everyone! I hope it is okay that I join as I am new to this board and actually all boards so please forgive me if I don't know all of the terminolgy! I am 31 with unexplained infertility and completely anovulatory and my husband is 32 with a history of no issues but most recent semen analysis showed low morphology. We have a beautiful 4 year old daughter who was conceived after almost a year of Clomid and provera. Started trying for #2 May of 2011 and was excited after getting pregnant with clomid!! Unfortunately that pregnancy ended with miscarraige at 8wk that sent my body all out of wak. Devastated! Have been actively trying since before our miscarraige with absolutely no luck. Found a uterine polyp in May of 2013 and underwent surgery for removal. After 5 failed IUIs, surgery and months of meds/injecions we have moved on to IVF. I stopped my bcp on Monday and went yesterday for my baseline ultrasound where everything was quiet and looked perfect. (I have a history of ovarian cyst so this was good news for me!) Anyway, I started my injections this morning with Follistim and Menopur and will add Ganirelix once the follicles are good sized. Hubby started his antibiotics this morning as well. My tentative retrieval date is February 26th and they are planning on ICSI and a five day transfer. So, here's hoping for only good news this cycle and fingers crossed for everyone on this board that is undergoing this! I'm looking forward to hearing all good news!!!

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and new to ivf. I am in my first cycle and just started Lupron today. I'm alittle nervous about the whole thing as I don't know what to expect or if it'll be successful. I'm 38 my husband is 40, unexplained infertility. We have a 7 year old daughter that we conceived naturally but I've had a miscarriage since. I started taking CoQ10 so maybe that will help. My doctor told me I'm going to be using some sort of patch...doesn't anyone know what this is for? If anyone has any words of wisdom please let me know since I am a newbie. Thank you!

An estrogen patch perhaps? These are commonly used in IVF.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Hi everyone! New to this forum but in the same boat. I am scheduled for my 1st IVF cycle March 17th I start the daily ultrasounds and possibly egg retrieval a few days after that. We were told IVF was the best option for us I'm 36 and DH is 31 after a miscarriage, an ectopic and low ovarian reserve. I'm on Lupron and start Gonal & Repronex Monday. I'm very nervous as we have already had heartbreak and we really want this to work. Any advise would be amazing just like most of you I'm feeling very alone in this. All of my friends and family have had no problems getting pregnant. Best wishes to everyone
