Mommiewannabe - As far as I know, BCP (or what I think you are calling OC) and Lupron are meant to suppress natural ovulation. I don't ovulate on my own at all. So I just did progesterone to induce a period, started estrace (the best cycle was with taking oral estrace 2x/day for 5 days then 3x/day. After lining check, I dropped back to 2x/day and added progesterone injections once per day. My RE said she normally does 1 cc progesterone injections plus suppositories, but I'm at high risk for yeast infections, I'm instead doing 2 cc progesterone injections daily. I will continue the progesterone injections and the estrace until (hopefully) I am 12 weeks pregnant.
In case it affects your decision, the progesterone injections are horrible. I can barely walk, sit, or stand up (from a sitting or lying position). Lying in bed hurts too. The suppositories are supposed to be yucky and - if you are susceptible - do come with increased risk of yeast and other vaginal infections. We each have to chose the lesser of the two evils.
My RE was very against multiples and strongly advised that we only transfer 1 embryo, particularly because the embryos were PGDed so it has a much higher chance of resulting in pregnancy (and because my lining sucks so I think she is also more cautious about "wasting" embryos). With 2 PGDed embryos, there is only a very very very slight increase in the chance of getting pregnant over 1 embryo. Instead, you will either not be pregnant or become pregnant with twins. For all the pain, hassle, and heartache, I really wanted 2, but I guess its not worth the risk of pregnancy complications for me or babies. That being said, I'm only 25 years old. If I were older, I'd probably risk it so that I could have more children.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

Mommywannabe-I'm not quite sure what my cycle regimen will be. As soon as I start I'll let you know.

I was supposed to start yesterday but I canceled it. This week a family member was diagnosed with breast cancer at 35 years old. My grandmother also passed away from breast cancer before I was born. Since my estrogen levels went over 10,000 during the retrieval I wanted to to get a mammogram and make sure everything is okay before I start injecting estrogen. I'm supposed to be going every six months For check ups and I'm overdue. I'm pretty bummed but I feel it's necessary. My mammogram is in a week and a half, then ill start the two two weeks of BC again.

My doctor will allow me to transfer up to two. Since we PGDed them he said there's no need to put in more than that. I would love to transfer two and have twins and not have to go through this again. On the other hand I'm afraid of complications. I have a large fibroid and I'm not that tall.

Good luck ladies!

Hope; I know you must be pretty upset, especially with the postponing of the cycle, but hang in there. It is definitely best to take care of yourself first. Good luck with the mammogram and hopefully u will be starting your next cycle soon.

Mommyoneday: just a few more days! Hope u are doing alright and 2ww is not too nerve racking.
I got my period after BCPs today, get my estradiol level tomorrow and then start estradiol/progesterone as directed. I guess have to plan my ET sometime 3 weeks down the road provided my lining is ok. What happens if the estradiol level is high?
Good luck and loads of baby dust all our way.

Mommiewannabe - That's great!! FETs are a cinch! Your estrogen will not be too high so you don't need to worry about it. Looking forward to your good news!
And my 2ww ended early. :) I'm pregnant!!

Hi everyone!

mommyoneday- OMG, OMG, OMG!!! I am sooooooooo happy for you. It's been a long road. You'll have to change your name to mommmytoday!! Hahah. Finally we have some good news. Yay! Did they do anything different this time to keep your lining thick?

I have good news too. I had my mammogram today and everything looks good. I started my next cycle already!

Mommiewannabe-glad to hear you are moving along nicely. Did you get your period after the 2 weeks of birth control? My doctor doesn't let me get my period after the two weeks. We just move right into the meds.

Btw - I have to apologize for not responding in a while. I've been checking to see If anyone responded and every time I didn't see any posts. I checked again today and I see posts from last week. Not sure why I don't see them sometimes.

Hope - I'm so excited to hear that you've started again and that all is good re your own health. :) Now you can move forward without worrying.

So my RE actual went back to the initial protocol (just oral estrogen), but did also do an endometrial biopsy before the cycle. My lining didn't get any thicker. It was somewhere between a 6.5-6.8 mm at transfer. But who cares!! The baby decided to stick anyway. We transferred one "hatching" blast (which supposedly ups the chance of implantation) under ultrasound guidance. Make sure your transfer is done under ultrasound guidance. I found out that it is not standard at all clinics, but is actually really important in helping the RE place the embryo(s) in the correct spot.

Hello all. I hope all are doing well.
My endometrial lining looked good, so now am starting the Progesterone tomorrow.Plan for Crinone in am and progesterone suppositories in pm. Any one has any experience with Crinone? I tried Freedom Pharmacy, the cost was 300 plus bucks for 20 applicators! I was wondering if anyone know of any alternate sources? Take care.

Mommiewannabe - That's awesome! I'm so excited for you! I have no experience with Crinone or the suppositories (I thought Crinone was a progesterone suppository). My doctor put me on PIO injections. And the cost sounds about right. Everything is ridiculously expensive. Sorry I can't help.
