BEWARE of Egg Donor agency: World Fertility Care (South Af)

Ladies/families,
World Fertility Care, aka Fertility Care SA (South Africa) is a scam organization. The woman who runs it, Mbali Lechler (and I can’t find anyone else who works there) has stolen money from me ($2,000), provided nothing, promised to return my money and now will not return my calls or emails and has kept the money. I'll be glad to send anyone more details, and I've heard she's done this to many others and has an awful reputation within South Africa.

I will describe below what has happened over several months. Because of what happened to me, I became aware of other "international / global egg donors who travel" which helps reduce the cost of IVF with an egg donor. Please see below other options to Fertility Care and please spread the word.

In brief, I wired Mbali $2000 for an egg donor deposit. Then I found out that her donors had no basic genetic testing (no testing at all – for anything) and I requested my selected donor get a few basic tests. In several months, my poor donor went back and forth to a clinic/ blood bank approximately 12 times. Each time, the money wasn’t paid for her to get the tests and/or the tests were not scheduled and/or the tests were not available at the clinic she was sent. (And I knew this first hand as the donor and I were in constant contact via text, and each day that she tried to go was a dead end. She wasted hours and days of her time.) My poor donor finally quit (I couldn’t blame her! She tried so so hard to get them done –even calling the clinics and calling Mbali herself and asking for the money to get them done, and the proper clinic to get them done at.)

Each time I emailed Mbali, it was “it will get done tomorrow” (and it never did) or “I’m on vacation and can’t be expected to work all the time” and “when does your cycle start and please send more money so we can make travel arrangements.” (!!!)

As I said, finally my donor gave up and quit. Mbali emailed me that the donor had “anxiety issues”* which I know were untrue (but if they were true, the donor shouldn’t have been made available). When I requested my $2,000 back from Mbali, she kept promising it and putting me off again and again (as she had done the egg donor). I had to fill out several forms with my bank info, wire info, address, etc. But no surprise, I never received any money. Eventually she stopped responding to me. I’m still out $2,000.

Please warn other women. I have hundreds of emails back and forth with this woman. I’ll be glad to send them to anyone. There are other agencies who provide what Mbali (claims to) provides –i.e. egg donors who travel internationally, who you can interact with and see pictures. Ones I’ve heard of include: www.globaleggdonors.com and www.newlifesouthafrica.com.

Again, everyone please note, Mbali Lecher and Fertility Care SA, now World Fertility Care is a SCAM. They have stolen and continue to steal money from so so many people who I have heard about through my process, and provide nothing. There are other options, other traveling and international egg donors with many wonderful girls, pictures, profiles, and often contact. They will travel to less expensive countries to do egg donations in those countries. World Fertility Care and Mbali however are full of excuse after excuse. She asks for money quickly and up front. It was a joke how quick she asked me to wire her money. It's so sad that South Africa agencies have not shut her down. She apparently cannot get blood work done in SA as no lab will accept her payment (cause she doesn't pay).

Well, where do I start from. The long and short of it is that she dubbed me too
I think she has lost her conscience. Why would anyone dream of doing such a thing to people who are already going through a terrible time because of childlessness????????? She needs to be taught a lesson. If I could I would report her to the Police and get her arrested AND taken to court. She is such a *****, a LIAR and not to be trusted ever, not even by a fool!
She takes money off people like us and buys top of the range cars and houses for herself in SA. These need to be confiscated from her and the money used to pay back our money? I can't begin to tell you how much we have lost financially and emotionally because of this *****....(I'm sorry I do not swear but I feel like I have too because of MBALI LECHLER) I WOULD END OF WRITING A BOOK if my story of my experience has to be written on this forum.....

The key to shutting this HORRID company down is to keep posting about what a SCAM Mbali Lechler and World Fertility Care is, aka Fertility Care SA, Fertility Care South Africa. BEWARE of World Fertility Care in South Africa. They will steal your money. Mbali, the thief who runs it all, has destroyed lives and stolen from egg donors and intended parents alike.

The more we post, the more the posts will show up on Google, right under her company name (which is now happening), and the more people will be warned. Because most of the people using World Fertility Care are not from South Africa, we are finding it impossible to collect what was stolen. I think most of us would just hope to shut Mbali down and prevent others from going her way. Hopefully the South African government will eventually do something about her and reclaim her stolen money!

I am now taking the matter further and going to proceed with an official investigation. I will do it the legal way by having legal aid alongside me.
I am writing this to you all, as I hope this brings some small relief to the heart aches you have endured. If we all stand together, we can be sure that the truth will come out and the necessary steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen to anyone again.

I am a South African egg donor and did my first donation for Mbali (elite egg donors back then) 3 years ago.....she lied to us donors,sent us to India,lied to the drs and intended parents,threatened us and we struggled to get our money from her.We received numerous calls from Pathcare/Ampath as she did not pay for our bloodwork we were held accountable.We tried to shut her down but her legal team is very sneaky (I could have died in a foreign country because of her) but the doctors were amazing and supported us.Its concerning as we could not do anything to her legally (I went to find out as we were all in this mess 7 donors btw).I hope she can be shut down and held accountable-locked away for a very long time.We have all since moved to a wonderful program with global egg donors and I am doing my 6th donation for them end of June.
