Finally after a surprise procedure to remove polyps from my uterus, I've received my protocol and go ahead to cycle.
I was kind of overwhelmed by how many meds the RE has prescribed. I've had a total of six previous fertility cycles.
This is the first fresh Ivf cycle with this RE. In the past I've responded well to follistim, ganirelix, and the hcg trigger. I was told that the egg quality was ideal with those cycles. However, I've never been pregnant. Originally my diagnosis was fibroids and blocked tubes. My current RE removed the fibroids and opened my tubes. One would think, pregnancy would be easier. Well it still hasn't happened. So he did further testing and found that I have MTHFR. I'm current on Mentax for that.
Sorry I'm all over the place. Today I was given my protocol for this cycle. I'm currently on bcp and lovenox due to the clotting disorder. On 7/11/2014, I will start 10iu of lupron daily along with the above mentioned meds. On 7/13/14 I'll stop bcp and continue with everything else. After I get my Af and my day 3 come back I will start 2 dose of menopur daily, 300ui of follistim, in the morning. In the evening I'll continue lupron and lovenox. I'll also be taking prenatals and mentax daily. Doesn't this seem too extreme? Has anyone else had such an aggressive protocol. I have to mention that I have a very healthy ovarian reserve. I'm afraid of over stimulating.

Yes, that is a lot of FSH. Because you are using Lupron for daily down-regulation, you will not have the option of using Lupron as a trigger in case of a high response. Your options will be hCG with risk of OHSS (perhaps after coasting) or cancellation.
But they will very probably reduce your dose if you start to have a very high response.
