I recently found out that my husband has an extremely low sperm count 1% but we still dont know of that if any are viable but will be testing to find out shortly. Our endocrinologist told me that I was a good candidate as i'm 34 and I have plenty of eggs as well as a healthy system so I'm in good shape in terms of getting pregnant. We were told that because of the low count that we would not be candidates for IUI which would only cost us $800. Unfortunately we're stuck between a rock and a hard place because the doctor said that we need to act soon as my husbands count may dissipate and I'm certainly not getting any younger so we need to act now or not at all. The problem is we cant afford to spend 10-15K right now and we would like more than anything to have a baby together. We have an empty room and hearts filled with love to give but struggle because we cant afford this procedure. It breaks my heart because we both work full time jobs and have insurance and still cant get coverage for a treatment like this. I live in California but was considering going to Mexico or Canada for this procedure. Does anyone have any advise on if there are any countries we could go to where we could get IVF where the price is more reasonable? i obviously dont want to go anywhere dangerous but would like to find an alternative, i know if there's a will, there's a way! Any feedback is appreciated
Hi, if your are trying for ivf at low price, then u can i would suggest you to take treatment in India, where the cost of the treatment is 1/3rd the cost in USA, & other countries. so u can undergo the treatment in India where there are best centres giving the good success rates. search online for the best centre, if u want i can also help you in this. All the best.
India is your only bet but keep in mind that ticket cost would come close to $3000 for both of you and say u r planning to stay for 2 cycle then a decent hotel cost would be atleast $1500. And the treatment would cost $3000 to $4000. So in total it would come to $8000 to $9000.
Hi! I am so sorry that you have to go through the horrors of infertility. I want to support you and assure that everything will be fine and will care your child. I was not so lucky, anyway now I am very happy and understand that no matter how scary it can be, but we can overcome absolutely everything. I will briefly tell my story. When I decided to have children, something went wrong, pregnancy did not occur, I felt bad. When I went to the doctor, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. I will not go into details about my state, but just realize that instead of trying to conceive a child I had to fight for my life. And I killed cancer, but I had hysterectomy, because of the many chemotherapies my eggs died. Eventually, I was thinking very seriously for which I fought. It was a very difficult period of my life. I had the only one solution - surrogacy plus donation. Too long I was looking for the clinic, in my country, unfortunately, these procedures are illegal and I had to look for clinics abroad. It is important to note that I had no sacs of money, so the US was fully excluded. India wasn’t considered, because there is such a lack of sanitation, many infections, often children are born very ill. After a long searching, I got to Ukraine. We contacted different clinics. Eventually we stopped at the clinic of reproductive medicine Biotexcom. What attracted me? Well the first thing is of course the price, it was absolutely adequate and reasonable. I chose the “all-inclusive” package, there were absolutely everything, accommodation and all I needed in a foreign country. I would just pay for the flight. And what is most important that the clinic offers the guarantee, you have the unlimited attempts, for single price they provide treatment until you get your child. If you did I guess five attempts and nothing happened all the money are returned to you, not the 20 or 50 % as many other clinics provide, speaking about the guarantee. Conditions were of a very high level, the staff is very friendly. There is no language barrier, managers speak different languages. I succeed from the second attempt. I have a wonderful daughter. We still keep in touch with my manger. I want to say you shouldn’t be afraid, I didn't even have chance to bear my child, and I am not biological mother, only my husband is and it doesn't prevent me to feel the happiest mother in the world. So don’t be scared! You will succeed! If there are any questions, do not be shame to ask. If you decide to contact the clinic, I have contacts of good manager, who can tell you more about the offers and prices. But prices for donation are much lower in Ukraine than in Mexico or Canada, but the conditions are European.
I completely understand you as me and my husband have gone through the same process few months ago. After a careful and in depth research around clinics we have found a clinic from fertility treatment abroad website,
We have done a free consultation over the phone, the doctor was very helpful and had provide us with all the required information about potential treatments that we could consider.
Finally me and my husband after two discussion we had over the phone with the clinic we had decide to visit the clinic in Chania,Greece.
The whole process was very smooth as their clinic secretary had assist us with everything (flights, accommodation, information etc) in order to make this trip very easy and stress free. We travelled from Canada and all I can say it was easier than trying the same process in Canada.
When we arrived at the clinic Dr Giakoumakis had explain us everything around the treatment and next day we have started.
Currently I am pregnant in our twins and can't wait for them.
The clinic is offering very competitive prices and their success rates are quite high,I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone.
My sister´s friend lives in Czech republic and recommended Gynem clinic in Prague and she did extensive research on clinics in CZ for us, checked success rates, visited forums, been there personally etc. I didn´t know that Czechs are quite famous for infertility treatment and lots of couples travel there for their babies. We are just about to contact them, I even heard that they did clinical study and some couples could have ivf for free, but I am not sure if this is the case now, but they have good prices anyway.I can keep up posting how are we going on...Good luck with your choice

Hi, Chiarat! My congratulations!!! Did you get pregnant after the first attempt? You are lucky)) And just interesting, does your clinic provide the clients with accommodation and flights or just help to find a flat and buy tickets? And talking about treatment, you came in clinic and the next day you had a written protocol and started a treatment, right?

Medicook, as I know only state clinics can do ivf for free, there are some governmental programs, created for citizens in order to increase fertility. But these clinics have in most cases low success rate, because they use poor quality medications. But if you made such a decision I wish you good luck and hope you will succeed.
Hi! I had to undergo the treatment of IVF. I suffer infertility caused by the hormonal problems, malfunction of the hypothalamus. It was very hard to decide the country. I am sure that everywhere you can find pros and cons. Unfortunately about Czech Republic I do not know too much. When I was seeking information about the clinics I came across only that reproductive programs in Czech were not very popular. That’s why we decided not to risk. My husband and I decided to do IVF in checked countries, where there are a lot of cases of successful treatment. Well I must admit that the price for us occupied no the last place. That’s why we doubted about two options India and Ukraine. Thanks God we chose Ukraine and didn’t choose India, because we got to know that Indian legislation concerning surrogacy changed, new restrictions appeared and now it is very difficult with document. In Ukraine everything was ok, the legislation base in Ukraine permit to undergo such treatment legally. Moreover, the clinic helped us to arrange all neccesary documents.
I think that the best country for IVF is Spain. My best friend did IVF in Spanish clinic IEGRA TRES TORRES and she has an amazing baby-boy now! Her experience inspires me a lot, so I also decided to go there. I had a lot of questions: foregn country, everything's strange and unknown, I was so afraid to risk and to lose my only chance. The manager I worked with (by the way, her English is perfect and we understood each other very well) answered all my question and now I'm afraid of nothing and ready to go. If you want,
I'm writing to make sure you've considered contacting some local IVF doctors to see if they are performing any studies. I had to pay for our IVF cycle (and was both surprised and shocked at times with what insurance would cover or not) but I've had friends that qualify for a discounted cycle by participating in a study. I would think your situation makes you a good candidate. CCRM is the organization we've used. They are in Colorado. As is Conceptions. I believe both do studies on occasion.
If you want best country for IVF, I will recommend you to go Tabasco, Mexico and visit Mexico Surrogacy Foundation. They offered you a guaranteed IVF Treatment at low cost. My sister came to that clinic with the help of placidway and now she is 3months pregnant. So if I were you, go visit placidway and they will help you to settle and arrange an appointment to Mexico Surrogacy Foundation.
I also agree in going to Mexico for IVF. Their private hospitals are modern with all of the latest technology and facilities and with lots of private fertility clinics you could choose from. You will spend at approximately $6,800.00 in Mexico for IVF. Talk about an absolutely phenomenal price!
You can research for more, if you can find better places for IVF. I've heard India and Thailand has high success rates as well. Gretchen is right, I think you have to consult a trusted medical tourism company to advice you about all the qualified clinics for IVF in Mexico and in other countries. PlacidWay might be a good choice for getting that advice.
Hi ladies,
I found in Greece the best price for IVF. In Crete (Heraklion) in Crete Fertility centre. The price depends on the techniques that are used and is around 3500-4000 pounds. I paid 3700 for the treatment. I stayed there for 7 days, I had amazing holidays in a hotel by the sea and the most important thing is that I am pregnant. I am very satisfied by the centre. Even from the beginning I was follow up by distance and they showed great professionalism.
