a short dream, it's over

Post by Alette »

As you know I tested +.

Too early, but also on my official testing day, it was +.

Yesterday I had a real pain in my back, like I am going to have my period, so I thought, you know, just to have a confirmation that I am still pregnant, I do my test again.

It was negative.
(twice) (it could not have been a wrong test).
I called the hospital and they told me, it is not possible.
I should not drink yesterday evening and test this morning in concentrated urine.
I did not drink a drop and tested this morning, negative.
To be 100% sure I went to the drugstore, bought another test, tested in the same urine. Negative.
Called the hospital. Did a bloodtest.
But I must be realistic. It's over. It was a very very short dream.

Alette, we haven't "spoken" before and I didn't read about your positive result, but I'm really sad to hear your news. It must be harder than just getting a negative to have all the excitement of a positive and then have it so cruelly taken away again. Life sucks sometimes, doesn't it.

Take good care of yourself

This is awful - can't beleive what is happening to all your Julybies at the moment. Did you never do a blood test then? This is very hard for me to get my head around let alone for you!

I am so sorry if it def is a negative and naively hope all is ok.

Alette,

I honestly don't even know what to say other than the standard "I'm sorry" which hardly seems good enough for this situation. You know that we are all here for you if you need to vent.

Hugs,

It is all so hard isn't it? and so much worse to get a negative after a positive. Just sending you my best positive vibes.

Alette,

I also do not believe it. HPTs are notoriously falsely negative, sometimes well into an early pregnancy. I hope you hang in until you can get a proper test. We'll all be thinking of you and hoping for the best outcome.

My dear Alette :(

I am shocked and saddened to log on and read your sad news. I have had a few days off the site to get my head straight and I just can't believe what has happened. I am so, so sorry.

Have you had a blood test?? If so, what has happened? I am truely hoping for a miracle for you and that things are OK. Let me know and I am here if you need to talk.

Thinking of you and your DP.

I am so sorry - I know I told you off for those hpt's but my heart goes out to you. I totally understand - particularly with my history why you feel you will never be a mummy - take some time out and have a more normal life away from IVF.
Sometimes I am afraid it takes a few of us longer to throw the elusive 6 on the dice but one day I am sure you will throw it and be rewarded with your dream
