IVF Day 2- Three Fertilized Embryos with only 1 cell

Post by shellylogue »

Hi! I am 37. We just did mini-ivf and we had 6 eggs.

3 fertilized successfully, 1 is still pending fertilization, and the other 2 were not mature but were cultured where they matured the next day and were inseminated. Fertilization is also pending at the moment with those two eggs.

As of the 3 that are fertilized, it is Day 2 and there is only 1 cell. There are supposed to be 2-4 by today.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, were you successful or not?

Last year, ( I was 36) we did 2 rounds of standard IVF and miscarried twice due to abnormal chromosomes.

I do not have any answers for you, but I wanted to lend my support. I am 39 and just starting a cycle for IVF #1. Starting to stimulate tonight, in fact. I wish you the best and hope things worked out.
