Fertility medications

Post by bsain »

Hi everyone. I've gone through 2 rounds of ivf. One fresh cycle that led to miscarriage and I just had my FET transfer 2 days ago. We have 3 other embryos frozen so hopefully we will have success and never have to go through ivf again. With that being said, I have leftover medications (follistim and menopur) that hasn't even been opened. Seems like a waste to just throw it out since they are still good and so expensive. I don't know if you're even allowed to sell medications, it sounds like it should be illegal, but thought I'd ask what you guys have done with leftover meds. If you're interested in what I have left, send me a message. Thanks ladies and fertile thoughts to all.

Hello Mam, I am planning for my second IVF cycle in Feb. My first IVF cycle failed last month due to my egg did not fertilized. I live in NJ and willing to get your medicines. My insurance did not cover follistim and it did cost me $7800. which was my out of pocket. But due my history of multiple miscarriages I chose IVF and was very hopeful. Here is my contact email maddienj.78@gmail.com. Thanks a lot.

I am sorry about yr mcs and hope yr next cycle will be successful. In case of multiple mcs consider pre implantation genetic diagnosis eg PGS NGS 360, as pregnancy might end in mc cause of chromosomal aneuploidy. Ref ivf medicines, consider all inclusive treatment with unlimited meds Good luck with yr treatment

thank you for that info. I also know that Clomid is a good medication for fertility. Just wanted to say that there's a friend of mine who got pregnant only by using Clomid (they tried without clomid a very long time with no results). hope this might help someone.

The pharmacy I work with mentioned that meds not used and unopened could also be returned to my doctor office and they could give to other patients who have to pay out of pocket for meds.

Hi! I saw this post and I will presume that you don't have these or may be expired? My insurance denied the Follistim and Menopur and will be in need for my first cycle since they'd drain us of $4500 if I can't find any donations. Can anyone help us? Thanks.
