My husband and I are not able to decide if we want to transfer 1 or 2 of our only embryos. We are having a number of concerns. Is opting for twins more of a risk than having one baby? Will there be any additional medical issues. And most importantly, if I am able to go through the full term of pregnancy with twins can I be assured that I will be able to do it again. Can anybody throw some light on this?
There is no assurance that having one smooth pregnancy term ensures that you will not have any problems the next time around. Trouble free delivery depends on a number of factors and even if one does not fall into place there will be problems for you. However, for surrogate mothers who have had twins having this specific experience will help the next time she carries twins. That’s about all.
Since you say that you have two embryos, I would advise you not to transfer both at the same time. You have to keep in mind that transferring both only increases the chances of having twins and not that of pregnancy. If at a time you transfer both embryos and it turns out to be a failed attempt, you will have nothing left in hand. Hence, go for one at a time. Discuss the matter with your husband and evaluate all the pros and cons. Best of luck!
No, even if you successfully carry off a pregnancy with twins, there is no guarantee that you will be able to do it again. Every pregnancy is a totally new experience with a fresh set of factors that guarantee its success. I also agree with Loretta that you should not take a chance and use up both embryos. Take it one at a time; if the first fails you have still got a backup with you. Good luck!
I don't think the ability to complete a gestation is anyway linked to twins, the least in the case of clinically monitored fertility support. The success rate is slightly affected but depending on your vital levels and physical condition mostly. The later part of your question is not quite clear, won't mind answering if you rephrase it or explain to me what you really wanna know. I don't mind helping if I can.

Exactly right.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
Thank you all for your suggestions and advice. My husband and I have decided that we will take up one embryo transfer at a time. That we feel will also be better for me as this is my first pregnancy. After hearing you all, I am having apprehensions about having twins. Thanks once again.
