My husband and I have undergone 6 IVF treatments and all of them have been unsuccessful. We have even used frozen embryos the last time around. My husband’s sperm quality is ok but I have blocked tubes. What should we do now? A fertility agency has suggested one of the following options – Continue with own egg and sperm, IVF with donor egg and/or sperm, surrogacy with donor or own eggs. Please help.
These doubts can best be cleared by your doctors who will evaluate your health conditions before taking a call. Whether you can try IVF again depends on a number of factors such as your age and the quality of your eggs and embryos you can produce. The condition of your uterine lining too is very important.- davidcurtis
I fully agree with 1. Get yourself thoroughly evaluated medically before taking a decision on whether to continue with IVF. Another point that needs to be considered is your hormone levels. These tests are expensive but necessary. If doctors have persisted with IVF repeatedly, I think that they truly believe that your chances through this treatment are good. Surrogacy should be the last option for you.
I really do understand your feelings. My husband and I have been through 4 failed IVFs with my own eggs and that can be quite frustrating. We have also been through 2 failed IVF attempts with donor eggs. The doctor said that I did not have a good lining to maintain pregnancy. You can have this aspect checked too. If so, surrogacy should be the best option for you.
I have been through a similar situation as yours and agree with 3 that surrogacy should be considered as a serious option by you. After failing with IVF we decided on surrogacy with donor egg. This was also because apart from a poor lining, I was also diagnosed with an abnormal uterus due to DES exposure.

Stacy Gerhart:
Thank you so much for signing your post "David Curtis" and admitting you are one of the many sock accounts on this board.
Betty Sanders already admitted the same thing:

First, get a rough estimate of the expenses that you are likely to incur. Remember, the process should not cost you or your family anything. There are fixed expenses like medical costs and lawyers fees which should be taken in advance. Monthly expenses include special diets and visits to a doctor. Work things out – there are a lot more that needs to be considered.- david.curtis91@yahoo.com
That's three socks right there, and there are many more.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
I found myself throwing away unsuccessful pregnancy tests. After each disappointment my worries grew even if each month offered new hope, the fear of it ending in disappointment grew stronger. he doctor advised that we had to undergo fertility treatment which was expensive, emotionally grueling and physically overwhelming exercise though we thought it was worth it. For some months I remained on my normal menstrual cycle which remained as a reminder of my struggle until my feelings towards it completely changed. For sure nothing was forthcoming, one month after another the same routine.but finally happiness came my way after i visited kiev.

Avoid Kiev and the Ukraine. They use sock accounts, like yours, on this board to advertise deceptively.

Blocked fallopian tubes effects a significant number of women and leads to be cause of infertility. The fallopian tubes can be damaged by diseases such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, infections and sexually transmitted diseases. If you're ovulating normally, then you are suggested to consider Assisted Reproduction Techniques (ART) that bypass the fallopian tubes entirely. These can include intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), Intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF). If you are healthy enough or physically fit except the problem with tubes, then you can easily conceive with IVF. If your egg quality is good then you should undergo IVF with your own egg and sperm, otherwise use donor egg/sperm. IVF is best option if you want to get pregnant by your own or you want to carry your baby. IVF had very good success rate. Hope you find it useful. Good Luck.
Hi Stacygerhart
its sad to know that you are suffering from so much problems. But few months ago I too was in the same boat. I also suffered from infertility because of my blocked Fallopian tubes. Me and my husband struggled a lot. We want baby so badly, surrogacy was not an option for us because my in-laws want us to have our own child. it frustrates me and my husband even more. He is very supporting & was there throughout. Then we have heard about IVF from one of our friends. Initially I was frightened but i have to do this for me and most importantly for my husband because i love him and want him to enjoy parenthood. We searched a lot and spend day and night on internet to learn about IVF and concern to many friends, doctors and clinics because that was our first time we want positive results. Then we found a Clinic in Ukraine. They suggest us to undergo IVF with my own egg and my husband's sperm because i was perfectly fine and the problem was only blocked tubes, my husband is also healthy and fit. I take 3 attempts to conceive. Now, I have a healthy baby and my family is also happy. So i suggest you to firstly try IVF with your own egg and sperm, if it won't work go with donor egg or sperm or surrogacy. Hope you also get chance to get pregnant & enjoy parenthood. Good Luck.
Several posts on this thread are sock accounts advertising for a Ukrainian clinic.

The feeling of failed ivf is worst and when a couple facing 6 IVF failures usually couple start to lose hopes. Everybody knows IVF Treatment is not 100% success full but still we all having hope that the worst part wouldn't happen with me.
So first of all after failed IVF you should give some time to yourself for bounce back.
Many patient start to find answer on internet why it is happen is the doctor do something wrong, or I did something which I shouldn't very desperately. But only your doctor or god has the answer such questions.
Now What is advisable after failed IVF, If you have poor ovarian response doctor suggest or change or increase your HMG medicines.
You can change your IVF center or trying to find some specialist IVF doctor or better IVF Center from before. The other option Is donor Eggs IVF with ICSI.
Most Important if you face failed IVF make a good documentaion of your IVF Cycle with photos so you can get second opinion and shows that to another doctor.
