Surrogacy or IVF in Europe

I am 44 and from Atlanta, USA. I have already been through 4 failed IVF attempts and know that with every passing year the chances of getting pregnant are getting slimmer. We are looking for surrogacy but I believe that there are a lot of legal issues in the USA plus it is quite very expensive here. There are clinics all over the world. Has anybody gone through surrogacy outside the USA? Is it safe there? I am also looking for IVF/DE and my friends recommend Ukraine. Any suggestions?

Your friend is absolutely right on this point. A few European countries offer the best surrogacy programs in the world and leading the pack is Ukraine. Last year we had been to Ukraine and returned home with a set of beautiful twins born out of surrogacy. The charges too are very reasonable and affordable and you get the best of treatments there. Definitely worth a try. Good luck.

Ukraine is probably the leading country in the world for safe surrogacy programs. It is stable, regulated and most importantly legal. Like 1 I too have gone through a surrogacy program in Ukraine at BioTexCom in Kiev. They offer different packages and you can choose one as per your budget. The minimum is the Economy one with one IVF attempt with donor eggs going on to unlimited attempts packages which are transferred after failed IVF to surrogacy packages at no extra costs. Go for it. What a coincidence! I have been to the same clinic in Kiev, Ukraine and it was a truly wonderful experience. The doctors were caring and very supportive. We opted for the “Ideal” package, where after two unsuccessful attempts at IVF, we were automatically transferred to the Surrogacy program at no extra cost. We came back with a bonny male child and feel so blessed. Yes, Ukraine clinics are definitely up there with the best in the world. Go for it.

She says that she has rarely seen this, 2 chromosomes being the usual. However, she has said that when we do start IVF, it will be through PGD as it increases the chances of success."

Are you 33 or 44?

The second post suggests you have a huge issue with sperm quality due to a very rare translocation issue and are considering genetic screening of the embryos. Your first post indicates you are considering using a GC in the Ukraine because of the high costs of IVF in the USA. GC cycles are very expensive, and are not an indicated solution for sperm quality issues. If you are concerned about costs, why even consider a GC?

It is interesting that a message board with little traffic suddenly has so many new posters, registered within a couple of days of each other, praising the same IVF clinic.

Hello. It's really hard to conceive with such circumstances... So sorry for that. It's really important stage - all prejudices, what society will think and so on... But really, couldn't you deserve to be a mother?! Maternity is a gift and I'm glad that nowadays all those women who can't have a baby in natural way, can afford it using medicine. Just keep going and don't listen those who don't understand you.
And really, I met couple few years ago who were going to go to Ukraine for surrogacy. As I know, it's one of best places for that. So, get more information about Ukrainian clinics and move forward. I believe in you success!

By the way the Cliniques in Ukraine are very loyal to different families and problems. They are very effective and a very modern approach to work has good results. I advice you to find the Medical center Academium by Ruslan Sobolev in Ukraine Odessa. They have an individual approach to each problem and full of anonymity.

I would avoid the Ukraine. One or more posters here have used sock accounts to create fake conversations while pretending to be patients in the Ukraine, or patients considering the Ukraine, in order to create deceptive advertising for one or more centers there. It was pretty obvious they were sock accounts. One claimed to be 44, then 33 years old. Two others signed their posts with the names of other sock accounts. They all used a very unusual posting style.

I would avoid anyone that advertises so deceptively.

I have tried IVF. Which was a really painful procedure. In that, I have lost one of my Fallopian tubes. This was the most disappointing period of my life. Then I started thinking for surrogacy. Now I am planning to go Ukraine for that. One of the clinic there is really good. I am excited about having a new baby in family. My husband loves children. He does not want adopted children. This is the reason we find luck here. My friends told me Ukraine is low in prices. What do you suggest?

I am sorry you had suffered from such hard time. But, relax and always remember there is no absolute infertility. There is always a way out for every problem Like IVF or surrogacy in case of infertility. IVF and surrogacy are the two most effective methods to treat infertility. Surrogacy is the process of giving birth as a surrogate mother or of arranging such a birth. Whereas, IVF is the process of extracting egg and sperm and make them fertile in lab and then transfer the embryo through uterus. Before choosing any of the two options, you must choose a clinic and surrogate mother very carefully. The clinic must take the complete responsibility of the process from starting to the end.
