Hi ... I am new to this site, so pls bear with me. I am on my second round of ICSI treatment - the first was last year and I miscarried at 7 weeks after breaking my leg. I needed to recover from the injury, so I have only now plucked up the courage to try again - my test day is 31st July. I don't have any of the same symptons as last time - sometimes my boobs are sore, sometimes not! If there is a twinge or pain I am convinced it has not worked as I don't feel pregnant. Is this normal? am I reading too much into things?
If you looked back at previous threads you'd see that everyones' symptoms are so different - some who have gone on to get BFPs have had sore boobs, AF (menstrual) cramps, twinges all over - whilst others have felt absolutely nothing. You just gotta hang on in there until 31st I'm afraid ! If you try to analyse every twinge, it will drive you crazy. 6 more sleeps to go ! Hope it doesn't drag too much for you (I know it will !).

Belsy,
I know exactly how you are feeling. I don't have any symptoms, but then had all the symptoms last time but got a -ive.
It seems so much worse this time as well. I thought the second time would be easier ... no such luck.
Good luck on the 31st. Only 5 more days!!!!
From Sophie-jane
thank you both for your positive messages, but it didn't work out, AF came before I could test. DH is very good and said since I have been pg once, there is no reason why it won't happen again. Anyway, I have my follow up with my consultant in a couple of weeks, so we can decide next steps then.
Belsy,
So sorry about your -ive. I also got a -ive today.
It is so horrible isn't it to realise it hasn't work and that you've just been through all this horrible tretament for absolutely nothing.
However, I am definitely with your dh on this one. If you have been pg once you will certainly become pg again. Just hang on in there.
Big cuddles, lets both wallow about how s**t life is at the moment and then we will bounce back and one day will have bouncing babies too.
All the best Soph-Jane

I am sorry you didn't get you dream come true this time. This has been a very bad day for quite a few negative results. It's so sad and really frustrating.
My DH is the same telling me that as I have been PG before there is no reason why it shouldn't work again and I just hope one day it will. I had my 4th cycle last month and got my negative result on Monday.
Welcome to the board by the way. Everyone here is so supportive and friendly so keep in touch.
Be strong and hang on in there.
Love Dagny xkx

Thank you all for your messages ... this has become my day of hell, as I have just come back from the vets, after having to put my much beloved 17 year old cat to sleep. I know this does not compare to having a negative result, but on top of everything this has tipped me over the emotional edge. I am very low and have been crying on and off for about 5 hours, hence my late post.
I am going to get some rest and mentally prepare myself for my appointment in a couple of weeks and try and be positive, but this has been my s**t day of year so far.
Sandra, are you currently on a cycle? If you are I am crossing my fingers.
Dagny and Sophie Jane- I know how you are feeling, but it will be our turn soon.
I'll feedback after my appointment and let you know what DH and I are going to do.
Yes ... I'm stimming at the moment and feel like a beach whale. I think EC will be around Wed, but any day earlier will be welcome ! Thanks for the +ve vibes.
I am so sorry to hear about your cat, Belsy. To me, this is much worse than having a negative. I am a real cat lover ... have three at the moment .... and have lost a few in my time. It is just like losing one of the family, and I have been in deep depression each time. I can truly empathise with you Belsey. You need to think about all the good times you had with her/him. You have been very brave, and very kind, letting her drift to sleep, and ending the pain. This has shown how much you love her.
You take care Belsey. It will take a while, but things will start to feel a little less painful.
love

I know that beached whale feeling well! You feel pg before the big process starts!
Much better today, Charlie Fat Puss (strange name due to his size - although he was slim, he was the size of a dog!) is happy playing somewhere else now, but even though he is the fourth cat I have had to go through this with, I've always had cats since I was 4 yrs old, it is hard. I have my other cat Hebe, my naughty girly cat who is getting lots of strokes at the moment.
Good luck for Wed .. let me know what's happening.
Feeling positive, as I read an article that if you have been pg once naturally or through ivf, then your chances increase, as your body has done it already.
Nothing to do now, but dust myself off and go forward and get back to running my business with my DH ... haven't worked for a month since I started this cycle, so I need to get my teeth stuck into something else rather than injections and scans etc.
