sept-oct. cycle buddies??

Post by eacole »

Hi everyone,

I'm on my 2nd ivf starting late september (start the sniffing spray on the 25th). Is there anyone else cycling around this time? Could really use the moral support this time around!!

Hope,
-read your e-mail from this weekend. I'm disappointed to hear your latest news. I'm afraid it is beggining to sound very similiar to what happened to me, and so I don't want to give false hope, if you know what I mean?...Let us know how things go tomorow. Hanging in limbo is cruel, isn't it?

best, eacole

Hi Dee Dee,

OK, so far it's myself, you and Debra. Keep in touch, will you, once we come round to sept/oct?

If you don't mind would you tell me a bit about yourself, what you have been through..? I've just turned 37, been diagnosed as unexplained though I've never had a lap so could be endometriosis, ttc over 7 years now. HAd my first ivf in june, result was biochemical pregnancy, though I (and my favotite nurse)prefer to undertand it as a very early miscarriage..

Hi

Can I join too? I have been told as soon as my bloodpressure comes down (I am currently taking 5 tablets for it a day) I can start so we are desperately hoping for September.

Good luck to everybody!!!

Elizabeth,
If you don't mind me asking, what was your experience? I'm dying for more information. Do you remember your numbers? I don't have much hope. If you don't want to talk about it I understand, or send a private message.

Hope,

I know how stressful you must feel right now so I don't want to stress you out any further, and I want to be sensitive to what you are going through. I will tell you exactly what happened to me-please take it for what it is worth, but I'm really hoping that you are the exception to what was told to me. When I tested, I tested at only 14 hcg and they told me that anything under 50 is not really good so not to get my hopes up. My hcg rose to 32 next time I tested, but since it was still under 50, they told me to not expect a viable pregnancy-meaning I would have a very early miscarriage, which I did and got my period. It was a terrible time as I couldn't help but think that it would work out for me. When I wrote a message here asking for advice after my second result and after I got my period, someone (I think maybe Tracy or DAgny??) told me it did not look good and felt it was better to be cruel to be kind if you know hwat I mean (not their words, but basically the jist was not to give me hope if it really did not look good. Your numbers are definately higher than mine, you haven't gotten AF yet either, and since your clinic did not say anything about 'under 50' as not viable, than it means that your clinic does not see it this way and perhaps has expereinced something else, i fthis makes sense. Prove my clinic wrong, thi sis what I am hoping. Please forgive me if I sound negative, I am definately wishing you a differenrt expereince than mine, and I would like nothing more than to see your numbers shoot up. I've got everything crossed for you tonight.
With best wishes,Elizabeth

Thank you so much for responding and being honest. You are so sweet and kind. You know how much we drive ourselves crazy. I really appreciate you telling me your story. I'll post more on the July thread, don't want to clutter up your thread with my stuff.

Hi girls,

I think, fingers crossed, I will be having my first IVF attempt at the end of September, beginning of October. (It's great to say that after a long, long wait!)
I've reached the top of the NHS list at St. Mary's in Manchester, been for th induction meeting and have our first consultation for pre-ivf tests on September 1. They said treatment would start by the end of october at the very latest.
Looking forward to it now, although a bit apprehensive!

Hi Claire .. I'm not a Sep CB, but just called in to say I'm at SM's too. Nothing to be scared of ... once you get going you'll see that it's a small friendly team of staff, who will make you feel at ease... and answer any questions you have.

Best of luck !

Ah, Thanks Sandra, that's nice of you to put my mind at ease. I do find SM welcoming the few times I've been. It's a really old place but it has a nice atmosphere I think.
I think the worrying about IVf is possibly worse than the real thing. That's usually the case with most things!

Hi, I'll be a SCB too. Seems like a long way off yet but no doubt August will fly by.

I'll be going for a medicated FET with our final 2 frosties. I expect AF around 1st/2nd so ET c. mid-month, hopefully. I'm self employed and have a 2 week project that I can't get out of so may be working throughout the 2ww. At least it will help pass those slow, slow, slow 14 days  Having said that, the woman I'll be working with has just announced her pregnancy....oh joy!

hugs
Debra.
