For my 2 cycles of ICSI, I have been buying my meds from the clinic - London Fertility Centre, but someone told me I can get them cheaper if I shop around - I think the LFC is overpriced, but I need to do some comparisons as my last meds bill cost a fortune!
Any recommendations for London would be gratefully received!
Thanks .... Belinda x
PS ... Is anyone else at the LFC, as it would be good to hook up ....
I got my medication from a pharmacy company called Ferring@Home, their phone number is 0800 3285323. I'm sure they are very reasonable as my hospital told me to use them as opposed to the private clinic itself, and they can deliver within 24 hours!
Kel, Thanks for the contact ... I'll give them a call and compare prices ready for my next go.
Barny, I am assuming Boots are cheaper than the LFC, so I'll give them a try as well. By the way, what do you think of the LFC? I am not sure, even though I have done a couple of cycles with them, 1st pg but miscarried at 7 weeks, the 2nd -ve last week. I have a follow up on monday, so I will discuss my concerns then. Just wanted a second point of view!
If anyone else has any suggestions for meds suppliers, pls send them my way.
Sorry to read about your miscarriage and your 2nd unsuccessful attempt.
It's difficult for me to make a fair judgement about the LFC because I don't have experience of any othe clinic to make a comparison.
DH and I went through the usual investigations on the NHS and got so fed up with their incompetence we decided to go private. At the time, we were desperate to get things moving so just opted for the first clinic that we visited.
My only gripe with the LFC is that I seem to spend a lot of time in the waiting room. They don't really keep to the appointment times. But maybe that's the same everywhere. I do wonder whether they try to accomodate more patients than they have the capacity to deal with.
Having said that, my experience with the doctors has generally been good. When I do eventually get to see them, they've always been very helpful and patient, making sure that all my questions are answered, especially Dr Kelada who I've had most dealings with. Let me know how you get on with your follow up on Monday.
