August Buddy - stims not working

Well I was an August buddy but had my first day 6 scan and my follicles aren't growing much (5 : largest 11 three of 8 and one of 7) and my oestradiol level is low at 175 so the clinic aren't hopeful that I'll get to egg collection. I know I should have been prepared for this with two previous poor responses and highish FSH, but today smacks me in the face that my chance for a baby is nearly over. Fortunately the clinic is allowing me to carry on until Friday but it looks grim. All the acupuncture, water, no caffeine, healthy diet has made no difference. I was hoping to have one more chance of an embryo but it looks like thats not going to happen.
IVF is tough

So good luck to my August buddies, couldn't add this to the thread as everyone seems to be moving on so positively.

I am so sorry you are having a bad time at the moment. There are so many obsticles on the way to ET, then there is the very slight chance if you do make it that far it will work.I don't know how we all have the strength to carry on sometimes.
I am hoping that things will turn around for you, my cycles are always a rollercoaster. Keep thinking positively ans I have my fingers crossed for a good result on friday. Have they upped you dosage?

Thanks for your support. Unfortunately I'm on maximum dose of puregon - 450iu so there isn't much else they can do! I knew it would be up and down but I never expected it soo early - stupid I know. It would be lovely if suddenly the follicles woke up and did some growing but they haven't exactly tried that hard in the last week! I'll let you know on Friday the outcome............................

Your follie sizes for your first ultrasound sound about the same as mine and I wound up with 19 mature eggs

Don't give up hope just yet! I got off to a very slow start with my 1st attempt. I was put on the same dose as you after my first check since my estrogen was so low. It ended up tripling one night though and, from there, it kept doubling or tripling and I ended up with 17 eggs. This was after there was a little worry that I'd be canceled. I did end up having to stim for longer than most. I think it took me 14 days.

Hey Guys
You have cheered me up, I thought my slow response was unique for me. What would I do without you guys?! I'll let you know on Friday how it goes. Insisted DH comes with me as I usually become a wreck. I thought that if I didn't pick up in the first week that was cards for me. I have a big cyst that has doubled in size. Just want me follies to do that now! I will try the PMA and hope they grow

Don't be silly - of course you may post anything on the ACB thread!! We were wondering where you were, but found you here, thankfully.

I'm glad some of the girls have had a positive experience that started out slow. We are all hopeful for you that you'll get some action going in there by Friday.
