Genetic Screening

Post by packer12freeserve »

Hello Caroline,
We are going to have Genetic Screening done for our next ivf treatment at the Lister Hospital. The reason is we have now had 3 attempts at full ivf and also 3 frozen attempts and so far all have been negative. We have no problem producing embryo's and are lucky enough that most have even reached blastocyst stage our problem is the embryo implanting and resulting in a pregnancy. We are at the moment having lots of tests done but nothing has come back as yet showing any problems and our consultant has recommened and said that the genetic screening is the next step and has assured us that it does not harm the embryo in anyway and unless there is a problem with the embryo your chances will still be the same. The Lister Hospital charges £2000 on top of the normal prices for ivf i hope this may be of some help to you but obviously it is a very personal thing for you to decide and would like to wish you the very best of luck whatever you decide to do.
Lots of luck,
Nicky
