Hi ladies, it has been a very long day so I will just post a quick update. My us this morning (Sunday) showed I now have 12 folicles so I am very excited. They range in size from 12-15.5. My estradol is 1645. I have to go back Tuesday for bw & us so I am hoping for EC by Wed or Thurs. It amazes me how much things can change in 2 days. I hope everyone is doing well and not going too crazy.
Good luck to everyone!

Candy,

So happy for you that you have a good crop of follies and they all seem to be about the same size, which is great! Good luck for your scan on Tuesday!

Jeanie,

No, it is not hard not to drink, though it was at first. Life is much easier for me now, actually.

Quitting smoking was SO MUCH harder! I gained 20 lbs. which is a lot, since I am under five feet tall. But the weight came off by itself eventually. I actually lost weight during tmt - probably because of stress. I never feel stress, but my body drops weight really easily whenever it thinks I SHOULD be feeling stress.

Good luck for EC, Jeanie! We're hoping everything goes perfectly for you and your dreams come true!

Morning everyone
I am still staying sane just, knicker checking but I don't really know why!!!
and having no symptoms.

Shannon and Scott
I hope the transfer went well and welcome to the dreaded 2ww.

Candy
Sounds like all is going well for you now good luck for ec.

Caroline
Isn't it frustrating when your levels go too high!! and you still have to have all those blood tests. I have had this happen twice to me mine went up to 19,000 one time!!. Hopefully they will drop quickly so you can move on quickly.30 follies sounds really good!!!

Wendy
Hope you are still hanging in there and not going too mad.

Good luck to all the others on the 2ww.

Hi everyone,
Wow, everything is really happening! Good luck to everyone, sorry I can't keep up with you all!
AF arrived on Sunday, and tomorrow I'm having the first bt to see how my oestridol? levels are going - to make sure I'm shut down before starting on the stims. Don't feel like much is happening right now, but I guess I will miss this when it's down to the clinic every 2 days for bt's, u/s, etc. etc.
Hey, does anyone else find they get painful ovaries during downregging? I downreg with Lucrin injections, and after the injections I find my ovaries are quite painful. I can't really work out why. I'll ask the nurse tomorrow, but I was just wondering if anyone else had this too.
And Sandra - yes, I could actually see my little embie dividing before my eyes- it was pretty amazing. My clinic transfers at 5 days, so you couldn't see the individual cells any more, but over half an hour or so it changed shape markedly. Amazing. I think our clinic is pretty high-tech - I feel like we're lucky with them.
Take care all,
Jaye

Hi Guys, Sorry I havn't been around much - I don't have a computer at home - and was too busy to post on Friday.

Wow, so much has happened in the last couple of days.

Monka, welcome to the board. My clinic makes us wait for 3 AFs. But if they say it ok - and most importantly if you feel strong enough... go for it.

Angela, good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hope you're feeling more positive.. sending bags of PMA your way.

Jeanie, good luck for your EC.... I've never heard of anyone looking forward to it before!

Staci, I am SO sorry to hear that your cycle was cancelled. My last one was cancelled and I know how disappointing it is.

Candy, excellent news on your follies. Good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Janine, I am so sorry to hear it didn't work out for your this time. Take some time out to spoil yourself rotten.

Chubbs, glad your follies have decided to play ball and excellent that the cyst ruptured. Good luck for today - hope its more good news for you.

Shannon, It must have been disappointing for you to only get 3 - but IT ONLY TAKES 1! Hope your ET went well.

Caroline, WOW 30 follies - that is an amazing number. Keep drinking loads of water...

Paige, CONGRATULATIONS - I am so pleased for you. That is just the news we all need to keep up the PMA. When do you have your first scan?

I am still injecting buserelin and am going in for my first scan tomorrow. I am a bit worried because my last cycle was cancelled at this stage because I hadn't down regged sufficiently and my lining was too thick. AF was really light as well and I am just praying that it isn't going to be a repeat performance.

Sending +ve vibes to all of you on the dreaded 2WW.

Love to all

Stunned is the only word for today :o
From having only one folli over 10 I now have four (15.5, 14x2 and a 11.5, right ovary = 0) So I have gone from discussing adoption and donor eggs to thinking I may get to egg collection this week. Its amazing to think they have suddenly started to grow. This is certainly a roller coaster ride.I have decided to stay off work and relax to give the follicles the best chance possible. Its been great reading everyones positive news and advice though I can honestly say that Sandra you are the best at remembering where everyone is at with theoir cycle.
All I can say is thankyou for all the positve responses from my August buddies, it has helped soo much.
All the best for those on two week wait, going for egg collection and Dolly with your baseline scan.
Sorry if I have forgotten anyone

Sandra:

You are awesome at keeping track of everyone. I think my first scan will be next week. 3+ weeks after transfer, does that sound right? I go today for a blood test to make sure my hormones are doubling/tripling. I guess if they don't, I'm at risk for eptopic? Which I'm worried about, because this feels nothing like the first time I was pregnant.
Chubs: Great news on your eggs! I hope one of them is the winner!

Hi Girls .... Believe you me, I have a shocking memory ... I have to cheat with pen and paper  !

Ang - Glad you've had some quality kip - it does wonders. Best of luck with your scan tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you. Let us know how you get on .... and yes, I always have my baseline scan on Day 2 of AF, so 'fraid will be a little messy !

Shannon - how did ET go yesterday ? Hope you've got at least one little embi floating around !

Caroline ... fingers crossed and waiting to see your levels down even further today .. :D

Jeanie .. I've definitely put weight on since my 1st cycle in March (and it's all gone on my stomach !). Hope EC went well today - let us know ...

Candy ..That's really good news re your follies. Well done ! Nearly time for EC now .. hang on in there

Dolly - Good luck with scan tomorrow. Hope you'll at last be ready to start stims ! :D

Jaye ... Hope your bloods were okay today and you've got the stim go-ahead, and can get going ...

Chubbs ... Excellent news ! .. and I think you're wise to rest ... I have made myself have time off this cycle as I'm sure, if only psychologically, it's of benefit.

Paige ... once again CONGRATULATIONS !! ... (it can't be said to often !) I'm sure every clinic has it's own timescales re 1st scans, but mine does the first at 6 weeks following test date .... I've never got that far, but I'm sure it must be a hellish wait ..! Good luck with bloods today and I've heard many girls say they haven't had the same symptoms twice .. so don't be reading anything into that ... let us know your levels :D

Staci .. I hope you're feeling a little more positive today and keeping busy .. x

Alicia - not long now 'till scan on Wed. Hang in there !!

2ww-ers .... Ellie, Wendy, Tracie ... hope you're not too nutty !! Tracie - when's your test date ?

Hope everyone else is feeling okay today .... and Barny, you're now priviledged and have your own thread ! Good luck !

Chubbs,

So pleased to see your progress. Things definitely seem to be looking up!

Jeanie,

I did have trouble not drinking when I did my first IVF. The problem was I had gotten in such a habit of having a beer or two with DH when he got home from work plus part of the enjoyment of going out to dinner for me has always been having a nice glass of wine. At any rate, I can't say I completely quit throughout the whole IVF so it sounds like you have greater willpower than I did! I was down to one beer with dinner during the first few days of stimming and after that I switched to no alcohol beer up until the end of the 2 ww. The first few days were difficult but I just kept reminding myself that, if things worked, I wouldn't be having anything for 9 mos. After around 4 days, I didn't miss it much at home. I did avoid going out to dinner or social functions. As far as gaining weight, the scale said I didn't but I definitely felt like I did right before EC and all throughout the 2 ww because my stomach was so bloated. All of my pants felt tight and I seriously felt at least 10 lbs. heavier.

Jaye and Dolly and Candy and Angela,

Good luck on your scans tomorrow! Seems like everyone is getting scans tomorrow.

Jaye,

I did have painful ovaries while downregging but I think that was due to the cysts as I don't seem to recall having that happen when I did the first IVF. Would be interested in hearing what your clinic has to say.

Caroline,

Hope your levels are decreasing. That was quite high. I think I got up to around 2,500 my first time and I was worried about that! It is definitely good that your clinic is being resonsible and putting things on hold.

Alicia,

I can't believe you felt better while taking the hormones! I guess it's true that we all react differently to the various meds. Unfortunately, I seemed to experience at least 50% of all the possible bad side effects of each of them and they really did a huge number on me mentally. Now that I've gone through a few days without my morning injection due to the cancellation, I feel like I've just come out of a huge cloud of depression.

Sandra,

I should have used a pen and paper because I'm sure I'm forgetting at least 10 people trying to rely on my memory!
I wish this thing would let you scroll back further than the last page while typing.

Hello to everyone else!

Sandra,

You truly are amazing keeping track of all of us. It is a joy to read your posts.

Staci,

Actually, I did feel a little paranoid on the hormones. Like after having a conversation with someone, I would go over every little word I said worrying that I had offended them in some way. It stopped right away when I started the progesterone, though. Glad you're feeling better. I hope you have a better time with them on your next tmt.

Caroline,

It must be so hard waiting, but it will be better for your health and the embies, too. I hope your levels go down and you are able to continue with EC soon.

Shannon,

Welcome to the horrid 2ww. Hope your ET went well yesterday. Hope your are relaxed and resting as much as possible.

Dolly,

Good luck for your scan. Just because you had a problem last time doesn't mean it will happen again. One thing I've learned from this board is that every cycle seems to be different.

Jaye,

I can't believe you saw your embie dividing. It must have been so exciting. I loved seeing our embies as it was the closest I had gotten to seeing a child of ours.

It's so great you're almost ready to get started with stimming. Hope your scan went well and that you can begin. Best of luck for this cycle to be the one!

Good luck to all of you with scans today and tommorrow.

Hi Girls
Sorry I've not been in touch but 3 days to go on the 2ww I swelled up big time and got admitted to hospital with severe OHSS. BUT
They tested me when I was due to and I have a BFP :D :D :D :D :D

Can't believe it. I've only come out of hospital today and can't sit at the PC for long but I wanted to share with you this news and hope that this sets the ball rolling for you all.

Many congrats Janem (Jane M - never sure which) even if you did have to go through hell to get there.

I am fretting about OHSS because my oestrodil levels barely shifted from yesterday (still around 15,000) and I feel a bit sick and can't eat much. I have had stern talking to from Mr Taranissi himself about drinking enough water and will keep slugging it down but I'm drinking loads and loads already - I'm sure I've had 6 litres today. Feeling a bit miserable and sorry for myself tonight and I can't bear the thought of getting back on the train again first thing tomorrow. Oh well, I guess it'll be worth it if it works.

good luck to everyone else. Need to lie down now

You poor poor thing ! I don't even want to imagine what severe OHSS is like .... and I've just spent the last few days moaning about mild symptoms.

I am so pleased for you ! Alicia will proudly add ANOTHER (!) smilie face to the test list :D :D :D

I know you know but, you must rest now, and drink plenty of water .... !!
