Positive and early MC ??

Post by hope2004 »

My body is totally confusing me!!
My HCG was 33, 47, 73 was having spotting all along then AF came. Well she left after a day and is now completely a no show. I didn't take the progesterone yesterday. Anyone have any idea what is going on? Could I still be pg? Going for another HCG test on Monday. Should I keep taking the progesterone? Help.......anybody!!

Could it be implantation bleeding? Check with your doc.

Hope:

Keep taking the Progesterone if you have any doubt at all. Wait for the clinic to tell you for sure, because Progesterone is what allows us to carry a pregnancy if we had EC. You never know, a lot of people have a full period the first mo and have no idea they are PG.

My thoughts are with you.

Geez, Hope,

This is a tough one. I would always err on the side of taking the progesterone if there is any chance you may still be pregnant. It won't hurt, I don't think, if you are not. Of course your clinic would be the best source of information on that.

I sure hope the seemingly impossible happens for you!

I have a friend in school who had a little girl in the early days of IVF. The doctor kept telling her the pregnancy was not viable up until the day her beautiful, healthy daughter was born. They had not even told anyone they were pregnant because the baby was not expected to live. Her daughter is 11 now, and nobody could wish for a more charming little girl. So I guess you never know.

Well, stopped taking progesterone, RE thought it was OK and DH agreed.
Had a fun weekend shopping, eating out, drinking wine and went in the hot tub. Then yesterday morning boobs started hurting and feel huge today and hurt..ugh, didn't think this could happen without being on progesterone. Went for the blood test this morning. I don't know what to think, hopefully I didn't mess anything up. You know how we second guess everything we do.

Hope,

Best of luck today, I'm thinking of you! (alittle fun this early won't mess anything up, I'm sure,). And yes, I know how we (me) all are about these things!

Oh my GOD!
I can't believe this, my hcg level is 588!! I'm still pg!! I'm in shock!!! I really thought it was over when I thought AF arrived.
The nurse said that they think the pg may not go on because it started out so slow, so not to get my hopes up. Also my progesterone dropped to 16, so need to start those again asap! I feel so stupid for stopping them, I'm such an idiot!!!!
Wish me luck, I really need it.

Hope,

That is so crazy!! We are so happy for you and all will be fine with the progesterone, I'm sure. As far as your weekend of fun - all the books I've read say that things like that don't matter so early in the pregnancy. So no more hot tubs for now, since your little one is growing bigger in there.

Forget what the nurse said about your preganancy starting out slow, too. I know several women who had healthy babies after a very slow start. One of them has an 11 year old daughter now. The doctors told her it would not be a viable baby THROUGHOUT her pregnancy. They hadn't told anyone - not even relatives - about it, since they did not expect a baby!

Your story is so amazing. Can't wait to hear your good news at the next scan!

OK just rushed home from work 2 hrs early and took extra progesterone. Thank you ladies for making me feel better. The good news is that my numbers have actually been doubling.

The nurse sounded very negative on the phone. I go back on Wednesday for another blood test and ultrasound and meet with my doctor. They suspect that it may be eptopic. Is there anything to see at 6 weeks? It's too early for a heartbeat, plus the HCG is still really low. Although one good sign, my boobs are killing me..Yea!!!
