Hi everyone

Janem that is fab news, congratulations! :D

Hope everyone else is well.

How are all the 2ww girls? Any symptoms? I feel a bit bloated but I'm sure thats all the water. I'm not sleeping well, I am so warm and my feet get so hot during the night I have to get up and put cold face clothes on them? Either I am just going a bit mad or its the pessaries combined with the HRT tablets thats doing that.

Anyway I'm way too hot again so going off to drink masses more water.

Speak to you all later.

Wendy, I feel exactly the same...still bloated, boobs a little bit sore (but not much) .... didn't sleep a wink last night, far too warm.... have been in bed tonight since about 7.30 pm as really tired, but really restless too ... have to keep going to loo 'cos of all the water I'm drinking, and the pcs in the next room to the loo, so can't resist checking the boards ..!

Anyway .. must try and get some sleep .... Take it easy

Just got the blood test results back from the clinic. Friday my level was 154....today it's 724. The clinic said this is a very strong reading, but does anyone know where I can find out what's normal? It seems a little high to me.

Janem.....CONGRATULATIONS! I hope your OHSS settle itself down soon so you can just enjoy your BFP!

August is turning out better than July already...maybe it will be a lucky month.

JaneM,

EXCELLENT NEWS!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!

Sorry about the OHSS - it makes me realize this is no small thing we are undertaking to do to our bodies, but sometimes, it's worth it!! So happy for you! Hope you're sleeping a lot and drinking loads of water. Can't wait to hear how your levels are rising and how the first scan goes - best of luck!!

Paige,

Higher than expected HCG is GOOOD! (and could be a sign of twins, if it continues to rise very quickly  ) Here are some links discussing HCG levels:

Hi everyone! Our transfer went very well yesterday. I have not left the sofa except to get up to use the restroom which is quite often as I am drinking so much water. I didn't sleep much last night, not sure if it was because I rested so much yesterday, though.

I wish I would have known to expect to be so bloated! Before the transfer, I actually went out to buy pants that fit as all mine were too tight in the waist! We are going to start off our pregnancies looking at least three months pregnant!! My doctor told me that when you take the stim drugs, your ovaries swell up to the size of peaches -- that is a lot to be carrying around in our bellies!

I am a little less bloated today, but boobs are still sore. I am so worried about every little move I make, and going to the bathroom (bowel movement) terrifies me! I actually went this morning because I couldn't hold it any longer and then I called my IVF nurse, and she told me that they try to discourage women from going!!! I think if that is the case, it should be written in the instructions!! Has anyone else heard of this? I hope my little embies are getting comfy and settling down for the next nine months and that my bathroom episode did not disrupt their hibernation for the next nine months!

Paige, I found this on http://www.medicine.uiowa.edu/Path_Hand ... st446.html

Weeks of Pregnancy Expected Range
mIU/ml
4 weeks 40 - 4,480
5 weeks 270 - 28,700
6 weeks 3,700 - 84,900
7 weeks 9,700 - 120,000
8 weeks 31,000 - 184,000
9 weeks 61,200 - 152,000
10 weeks 22,000 - 143,000
14 weeks 14,300 - 75,800
15 weeks 12,300 - 60,300
16 weeks 8,800 - 54,500
17 weeks 8,100 - 51,300
18 weeks 3,900 - 49,400
19 weeks 3,600 - 56,600

Hope that helps!

Hi everyone,
First things first - Janem - CONGRATULATIONS! - that is so cool. Hopefully that is a good omen for the rest of us! and Paige - could be twins??? - how exciting! How many embies did you transfer? July was a terrible month, so let's hope this will be a better one.
Sorry you're feeling down Caroline - hope you feel better after a rest. This thing is so exhausting, and what we put our bodies through is huge, so don't be too hard on yourself if you need to rest more and feel down from time to time.
You girls make me feel so guilty - I don't seem to manage to drink anywhere near as much as you do. I really try and mean well...
Got the go ahead to start stimming on Thursday today - I was really happy about that coz last time it took forever to shut me down - I was downregging for something like 3 weeks in the end. Hopefully this time will have a better outcome too!
Am I last? everyone seems way ahead of me!
Take care,
Jaye.

Jane M, CONGRATULATIONS.... wow the ACB's really are doing well! I am so pleased for you. Poor you with OHSS - but your BFP must be helping you feel a bit better!!!!

Caroline, sorry to hear that your levels arn't coming down as quickly as you would have liked. Hope your appointment went well today and you got some better news. Hope your feeling a little happier today.

Jaye, glad you got the go-ahead to start stims - I know how frustrating it can be when you body doesn't play ball.

Sorry if I have missed anyone

Hi Girls,

Sorry I haven't been around much. Great to hear all the postive news it must be right the August is the luck month.

Unfortunately its nor for me, called the hospital yesterday as AF hasn't shown up and was worried that it might cause a problem. They asked me to go in early as they thought it wouldn't be a problem and to see if i could start stimming straight away. Anyway the scan sjowed two large cysts on my right ovary and I've had to stop treatment and wair for AF to arrive.

The nurse was going to speak to the consultant today to see if I could do a flare treatment, whereby by I start stimming striaght away when I start AF, or if I have to wait for day 21 again.

Writing this I feel alot more positive then I did yesterday I was very down and wondering why i was on this roller coaster. But hopefully it will be thirs time lucky and I might get to ET. The first time stopped before it started as there were too many people now this so I can only hope.

Staci looks like we'll be cycling together next month and it will all go smoothly for us, by the way i suffer from fibroids too.

Good luck to everyone,I'll keep watching out for those BFPs I'm sure there will be lots of them.

Cheers,

Jane

JaneR,

So sorry your cycle will be delayed. It is so frustrating :x . It's all about learning how to wait, isn't it? Hopefully you'll be early in Sept, and we can all follow along!

Dolly and Jaye,

SO glad you can get on with the stimming. It looks like the 3 of us will have some overlap for the 2ww. I probably will test right around the end of the month, assuming all goes well.

I'm taking the LH tests 2x per day now - so far nothing, as expected. I guess they schedule ET based upon when the surge is for FET.

Good luck to all!

Angela,

So glad your scan went well and you can get started! And it's good to have a hopeful attitude, I think. The injections become so routine that you don't even think about it after a while. Hope the next few weeks are fruitful for all of us!
