Hope,

All I can say is WOW! If you and your little one can now prove this ectopic stuff wrong, then I'd say this is the Blockbuster of the summer. I think you can, am really hoping you can..let's keep the good news coming!

A great big hug,

Hi Hope!

I have had two ectopic pregnancies and both times, my HCG increased, but slowly -- it did not double! And, my boobs never got sore -- So the more symptoms you have, the better the chance this little one is in the right place!!

And, a girl friend of mine had a full period after her transfer and she just kept up with the progesterone shots and is expecting any day now!!! Hang in there!

I feel so stupid, I wish someone, even the IVF nurse had told me that I can get AF and still be pg. I think she figured that since my numbers were so low it made sense. I really feel awful. I know this probably isn't the best mindset right now. I looked up a bunch of stuff on the internet and everything points to this isn't going to be a viable pg. Sometimes the internet is a real curse!! Started the progesterone last night and started with a teeny bit of spotting again, could there be a connection?
Can't wait till the ultrasound tomorrow, that should tell us alot.

Thanks for all the "I know of a woman who..." stories, you don't know how much faith I put in those!!

Hope,

That's great that you'll have an ultrasound tommorrow. It will definately answer some questions for you, I think. Hoping all is well and things look good in there for a healthy little one (and for your health too)!

Here's the latest update, we saw the embryo but no yolk sac so not ectopic. Tech said it's about 1/2 the size they usually see. HCG more than doubled over the last 2 days, went up to 1308 and progesterone 25.1. Doc, tech and nurse all said that there is a possiblity that it could grow OK but it's low. I go back on Monday for another scan and bw. This is going to be a long 5 days!! Anyone hear of embryo being small but then OK?

I love/hate the weekends, I feel a bit like I have to hibernate from my friends because I don't want to tell them what is going on and I don't want to lie. And there are times where I'm just not in the mood. One of my neighbors just had a baby and all the ladies are organizing to take the family dinner each night. I feel bad, but I just can't do it right now.

Hope:

I believe that if your hcg keeps doubling that you are still in the running for a successful pregnancy. This is total sh*t that you have to keep going back and nobody can tell you anything for sure. My thoughts are prayers are with you.
