So I have had my follow-up after my -ve a couple of weeks ago and it went well ... in fact my doc was disappointed it didn't work out this cycle, especially as I had the +ve on the first cycle.
All the tests are clear, they don't want to change any of the meds as I responded well & I can start again this month if I want.
I think I need to prepare myself mentally even though the body is willing and ready!
DH and I are thinking maybe Oct or Nov, but DH is leaving the final decision to me.
I would be grateful to know if anyone has had advice in the past about how long you should wait ?

My hospital insists on 3 AFs between medicated cycles. They say this is to ensure all the medi is out of the body ... otherwise could react unpredictably to medi on next cycle, or not at all. Each hospital / clinic has its own ideas and timescales etc though .... it would make this IVF so much easier for us all if they were all the same ! Obviously though, as you say, you need to make sure you're strong enough first, mentally.

I am waiting 3 months as even though I am nearly 38 I think I would have murdered someone if I had done it any sooner. " months now and I'm starting to feel normal again doing all those thiings I'd normally do. I think mentally it takes that lenght of time before you can cope with it again. But I know everyone is different. Good luck with what you decide.

Thanks to both of you for your advice.
Had another chat with my lovely doc and he said as I am on a low level of drugs and a very mild protocol that I can go again quickly (unfortunately DH has the problems with sperm, but I am OK, hence the low levels of meds).
So I am feeling weirdly relaxed and positive, but DH and I think it is probably wise to wait 3 months for our sanity and our bank balance! I also think no matter what level of meds you use, your still using them, so cleansing the body can't be bad!
So I'll be joining the Oct/Nov cycle, but will be keeping up with everyone on the site in the meantime, as I have found it a real help.
