Baby aspirin + trigger shot

Hi, I have been taking baby aspirin during this cycle and since I am doing my trigger shot tonight i wasn't supposed to take an aspirin but wouldn't you know it I screwed up and did take one. Does anyone know if this is a big deal? I will call my nurse tomorrow but I am hoping someone on this board knows.

I wouldn't imagine that it will be a problem. Does your clinic have a doctor on call 24 hours? You may want to page the doc and run it by him or her. . .

When I did my first IVF, I don't think I had to stop taking my aspirin until the day before EC. If you took one on the same day as your trigger shot then you still have another whole day before your EC so I don't think it's a problem. The only reason why they have you avoid it right before EC is something to due with it affecting blood coagulation but, in such a tiny dose, it's very unlikely it would have an effect anyway.

I would just mention it to your clinic but I'd be very surprised if it's a problem.

My Dr.'s office has you take the baby aspirin the day you do the trigger shot....in fact, I'm still taking it every day with my multivitamin. I'll ask on Friday during my US when I should stop. Friday I'm 5 weeks pg. Just hoping everything sticks at this point. But I must admit....I really like the taste of baby aspirin, isn't that sick.

Paige, I remember liking baby aspirin as a child so can relate. This time i bought the kind you swallow with water. I don't remember if I said it before but it can't be said enough - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
