I am quite new to all this so I might be wrong but I think beta is the hormone they test to see if you are pregnant. I may be wrong so someone correct me!!

hi nic

downregging is the first part of icsi or ivf it gets your body ready for the
stims these being the drugs that make your ovarys produce follicles so all down regging is is stopping the ovarys from produceing any follicles or any hormones i did my downregging by sniffing the drug buserelin but some do it by injection downregging is fairly easy not much to worry about really

hope this helped a little love Ang xxxx

Hi Angela

Thankyou for the info it helped a lot, with all the threads I keep reading and advice people have given me I think I am slowly getting an idea of what is going to happen.

How long do you have to take medication for before EC takes place?

I am very excited but a little apprehensive aswell!!!

Thanks for all the support. :D :D :D

hi nicola

well generally you down reg for about 2 weeks i had to do 4 as i had a cyst and the lining of my womb was to thick but luckily all is ok now and im stimming away stims i think last between 10-14 days depending on clinic and how your body reacts to the drugs they scan you regularly when you are stimming to make sure all is well

i am very excited at the moment im having a good week this week which is cool cos last week was a real down week for me what with all the drugs and stuff i was ready to give up if the scan hadnt shown i was ready to start stimming it is all very scary i am a big wuss and was terrified of starting my injections but i have now done one at the hospital and one at home with the auto injecter pen and honestly the dont hurt at all and are nout to worry about i know its hard to believe until you actually do it yourself but its true its a piece of cake once you have done it a couple of times and i think i must be the worlds biggest worrier hehehe

come and have a look on the august buddy post im there along with some very very wondeful girls

love Ang xxx
