Zita West

Post by belsy »

Hi all,

Does anyone have any views on Zita West?

I have just bought her book on the recommendation of someone who has had IVF twice and both times have resulted in babies. She used the techniques in the book to aid her and DH through the IVF process and it worked!

Apparently Zita has had proven success assisting couples through the process.

So has anyone else had similar experiences or found it useful?

Thanks ... Belinda x

Hi there Belsy. How are you ?

I bought the book during my last 2ww, and wished I'd bought it sooner. I have, obviously, tried to adopt Zita's practices, and have managed many .... but honestly, you'd have to be an absolute angel (and live in a bubble !) to follow all her recommendations to a tee :D

I did feel better prepared for this cycle, and have taken her advice of rest, rest and more rest. So, we'll see (in 6 more days !).

I'm sure you'll find the book really interesting and informative. Enjoy !

Hi Belsy
I bought the book and it became my life line. I found the nutrition section very interesting and changed my diet adding certain vitamins and minerals 3 months before the tmt started. It was helpful to follow through the stages of my IVF tmt as it was our 1st time and it was a good source of support and guidance during the 2ww as well! Couldn't believe it but I fell pregnant. Early days but I think it helped put us on the right track. Good luck with yout tmt
All the best

Hi Sandra,

I'm fine, but I have a stinking cold - price of travelling on the tube ... too many people coughing in your face!

Had a quick flick through the book and it does seem interesting if a little intense!

I think I am with you and that I will try and incorporate things, like acupuncture and healthly eating, but may fall off the wagon once I start.

Her clinic is just down the road from my ivf clinic and I was advised that I should make an appointment there as well, but I have checked out the cost and it's too much. As you know ICSI costs more than IVF and I really can't justify another huge bill on top of the icsi treatment, so I think the book is the next best thing.

On a positive note, while shopping around, I have managed to halve the cost of my next meds bill (I have all my prescriptions already).

But my DH wants me to cool my activities for the moment ... he thinks I need to come off the ivf trail for a couple of months to de-stress, so I am only allowed to come on this site and nothing else!

He's right, constant research can send you insane ... well me anyway!

How's your 2ww? Hope you are coping and as Zita says visualise your +ve!

crossed fingers ... Belinda x

Janem - that's fantastic news .. congrats!!!! This is good ... it's helped 2 people with +ve.

Nicola ... the book is called Fertility and Conception by Zita West published by Dorling Kindersley. I got it from Amazon. It focus's on assisted conception, so there are lots of tips there.
