Hi everyone!

Whew! Got my second HCG today - 596 up from 272 on Monday. What a relief. I've finally acknowledged that this time it may have actually worked. I know there is still a long way to go, but I am so happy to have gotten this far for the first time!!! First scan is set for Sept. 13th (I hope lucky!).

Reading your posts scares me a little. I thought for certain I would not outgrow my pants for a few months. Just bought a darling pair of striped cordouroys. Hope I get to wear them for at least a couple of month.

Hi Paige, Shannon, Pixiegini, Janem and Theresa! So this is where you have gone!

Alicia! We have been waiting for you over here! I kept checking to see if you posted your new hcg levels yesterday! Nice job!! I am so excited for you! How are you feeling? Any morning sickness? Mine seems to hit in the late afternoon, so I spend most of the morning worrying because I am not feeling too bad, then all afternoon kicking myself for not taking better advantage of the morning when I wasn't feeling too bad! My mom told me I should get some of those bracelets that press on the pressure point in your wrist -- and I told her, "but mom, when I don't feel bad, I worry something is wrong, I am only at ease when I am feeling awful!"

Anyway, Alicia, your hcg levels seem real strong, see your temperature was telling you something! You get your scan so soon! Mine isn't even until next Wednesday which seems a lifetime away! I am so jealous, I wish mine was sooner! I will be one day short of seven weeks when I have my scan. I am so nervous over every little thing -- I picked one of our dogs up the other day (she is 35 lbs) and DH freaked out and told me I should be lifting anything, so then I worried about that all evening and those types of things. I think after I have my scan, I will feel much more secure! The one thing I keep telling myself is that I have made it farther than any of my other failed pregnancies! So that in and of itself is a milestone!

Teresa -- so far just one glass of OJ down! It is only 7:18am where I am right now. I make little tick marks on my watter bottle throughout the day each time I go for a refill so I can track how many I am drinking! I will let you know after I finish my first!!

Hope everyone else is doing great today! I stopped in at Old Navy yesterday -- they have some of the cutest things! I wanted the low rise jeans that don't have the elastic panel, but it seems that they only have them online -- at least my store didn't have them in stock yet.

Take care everyone!

Hello Ladies...
Just checking in its 10:15am and I still haven't had any water ... gee its really cold in this office and just the thought of the cold water makes me cold.... but I promise I will....

Alicia,
Are you still talking your temp?? I still am too.... I just feel extra reassured each day !! :D

Shannon,
I know what you mean about worrying when you feel good, its like in back of our minds we wonder if they're something wrong.. don't worry ..its seems like my symptoms go away just before my scans and then they're back.... Our minds play games with us !!
I have been to Old Navy, and I also dislike those jeans with the wide panel, I haven't been on-line but I guess I should check it out !!!

HI Ladies! How is everyone?

Welcome Alicia and CONGRATULATIONS! Your hcg levels sound great, we're so happy for you.

I have only had one glass of orange juice so far today, but we didn't get up until 9am, so it's not too bad! My daugher always crawls in bed with me when she gets up....what a wonderful alarm clock ha ha that doesn't wake me up until atleast after 8am!

Teresa, I really haven't been feeling to bad! In fact, feeling better than ever (since stimming anyway). I have bouts of afternoon queasiness but nothing that has me even going into the bathroom. Usually I find that if I eat something small it helps a lot.

Shannon: Don't freak out about picking up the dog etc. In fact, with my first pregnancy the Dr. let me jog and play volleyball up until 4 mos.! I'm giving up both of those things this time around, but not much else physically. No lifting heavy weights, etc. I truly feel if something happens to the embryo in the first 12 weeks it's probably going to happen regardless of my activity levels. Hopefully none of us will have any problems at all! I wish the 12 weeks would just fly by while I was sleeping for one night.

Janem & Pixigini....how are you ladies doing? Feeling well?

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Theresa,

I have stopped taking my temp because the thermometer beeps and wakes up DH  He could only take it those two weeks.

Shannon,

I STILL have no symptoms at all, except I'm extra hungry (which is actually somewhat normal for me). My Mom said she never had morning sickness with any of the 8 kids! So, I'm not too worried about that, though it would be nice to really feel PG.

Theresa,

No water yet, but a big mug of herbal tea, some watermelon and pomegranate seeds. I'll have to get on the water plan, now that you've reminded me of it.

Okay, so I am down 1 bottle of water, I ginger ale, and 1 glass of OJ. Starting on my next bottle of water right now!

Alicia, good for you with no morning sickness. You can feel good and pregnant with your strong hcg level! I didn't get that high until the third time they drew my blood (remember I didn't quite double on my second blood draw)! Was there any speculation of twins? How many did you have transfered? I don't know if I mentioned this before, but my ivf nurse told me that one reason they see a slow down in the hcg (like mine did) is because one twin makes it and the other doesn't. Of course I will be thrilled with a singleton, but twins would be really great! We will just have to wait until the scan next week to really know for sure!

Tanya -- congratulations on your twins!! You must be so excited!

Paige, thanks! That was actually how I reasoned with my DH when he was upset with me - I told him to think about all the pregnant women with children that need to be picked up! I was pregnant with my son so long ago, I really don't remember much - just that I was too sick to do anything physical! I really need to start doing something, even taking a nice long walk every day - I just haven't had the motivation with being so tired and so queasy!

I am so lucky to work from home! I am going to take a nap between conference calls right now!

Uggh. I had bleeding yesterday - a little more than I'd had before. No cramping or clotting, though. But today is good so far. The clinic said it could be that there were multiples and one has not made it. I declined their offer for another HCG. I figure we will know soon enough and why spend the $85 if they can't really do anything about it anyway? But oddly, I really don't feel like anything is wrong. And today, I finally got a symptom - sore boobs - YAY!!!

Tanya,

TWINS!!! That is so great! I know it is so much work, but after what we've been through, it is nice to get two for the price & effort of one! Do you have other children? If not, definately hoping for a boy and a girl for you!

Shannon,

Sorry you are feeling so queasy. I hear that goes away in the second trimester for most. But you might actually miss it then

Paige,

A woman I used to work with had IVF and while PG she ran many miles every day, lifted weights and drank a fair bit of alcohol. She had a healthy baby girl. So you never know, but of course I will err on the safe side, myself.

All,

What about hair color? I have tons of grey, but I think I'm going to wear it proudly, at least until the end of the first trimester.

It's always fab to have lots of positive news on the board, so easy to dwell on the negative otherwise. Don't forget to spread your wisdom on the otherside though - all twin tips welcome Tanya and PixieGenie!

Alicia... how are you feeling? Are the symptoms still good and strong?

Pixiegini... brilliant news on the twins... I'm sure we'll have plenty of stories to swap. How are you feeling? I've read that all symptoms are increased with twins... and I must admit I feel pants!! I'm sooo tired all the time and the nausea... eeek!! Still, it's a small price to pay! Just hope it's over soon! Week 9 is meant to be the height, and then it gets better.... I've just entered week 9, so here's hoping!

Shannon, how are you feeling? Has the nausea got any better for you yet? You are sooooo lucky that you can nap during the day.... I feel like it sitting at my desk a lot of the time.... feeling rough as a dog, but I don't think that my employers would appreciate it!! I don't know how women cope with being pregnant.. feeling tired and nauseous... when they have other children- I really must be a rookie!!

Is this a first child for any others of you?

I'm hoping to go and get some new trousers and bras today.... all of my trousers are getting a bit too tight for comfort, but I haven't put on any weight and don't look any bigger... maybe they just shrunk in the wash?????

My hair seems to have gone greyer since this has all started... and having such dark hair to start with, you can really see it... but my hair is sooo thick (and has got thicker!!) that DH pulls them out for me!! It's really embarrassing when he decides to do it in the middle of the street, though!!!!

How are the rest of you guys feeling? Any of the symptoms abating? Anyone beginning to show?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Tanya,

Actually, I have had no real symptoms all along, but my HCG numbers were really strong anyway. My mom said she never had morning sickness with any of her 8 kids. I admit, I do feel a bit jealous reading about all you girls and your myriad symptoms.

I really feel that everything is fine, though. The bleeding stopped again and it really was quite light. I'll know more soon, and the first scan is set for Sept. 15. No sense getting worked up about it until then.
