Hi Girls:

I had my first ob/gyn appointment after getting released from the fertility Dr. yesterday. Everything looked great. She's letting me opt for the C-Section with no arguing (my 4 yr old was a C, because she was 10 lbs 8.5 oz), so I'll get to schedule my pedicure before I go in!

She also mentioned a few things I didn't really remember from the last one: heat up lunch meat to get rid of bacteria, NO nutrasweet (whoops), no sleeping on your back after 12 weeks, tuna and shrimp only once a week, no steak-like fish at all (shark, swordfish etc.).

I offered to send her to Hawaii if she did a mini tummy tuck during the C-Section but I don't know if she's going for it :D

Hope all of the morning sickness crew is doing better!'

Hi Alicia

I'll be thinking of you on 15th Sept... not long to go now. How far will you be gone by then? It sounds like you HCG values have been good and strong.

And I can promise you, there is absolutely no reason to be jealous of morning sickness... I'm jealous of you not having it!

Keep us updated!

Hi Paige

That's great news- especially if you get the tummy tuck too!!! Maybe I should suggest that when I go to the doc next week.

Wow, I can eat shrimp..... yippeee!!! I've been erring on the side of caution with anything I eat.. but it looks like a whole world of opportunities will be opening for me!!

Tried to buy some trousers from H&M today, but as with everything for me.... they're too long!!! Can anyone recommend any maternity clothes for petite people???

Tanya:

oldnavy.com has short, regular and longs in a lot of their pants. so does gap.com mimimaternity.com isn't bad either.

Although the longs are not THAT long, but it sounds like you won't have to worry about that!

Hi Paige,

Not sure that they will deliver to Germany :( but will check them out. I had a look at oldnavy already and they won't deliver, which is a shame as they had some really nice things!!

Hello everyone!
Hope your all doing fine !! Great to hear another set of tiwns !! FANTASTIC!!! Just got to work from a long week end... Did it feel good to do nothing or what..... Basically I watched tv all day yesterday.... I mean I started at 7:30am until I went to bed at 10:00pm... Is that pathetic, but I must admit it felt really good !!
I've got a question on Progesterone injections... My clinic says to continue taking it until 12 weeks , I am 12 weeks 1 day PG, do I have to stop or do I have to continue until I complete the 12 weeks ?? I had my last scan at the fertiltily clinic last wed, and they said that I was 11 weeks 2 days, the doctor said to continue it for another week, does that mean one week from last wednesday or yesterday 12 weeks ??? AARRGHHH!!!

About the morning sickness.. I have had NONE whatsoever..... My sister is pg with twins (natural pg) and she had none also (she is 6 months along)... so really don't worry, if you don't seem to be suffer from it... My dr. says those that have it wished they didn't, and those that don't have wish they did !! Remember only about 50% of pg women get it !! Be glad if it hasn't hit you yet!! And those that have it I hope you feel better, remember its a great sign to know that things are progressing !!!

Anyway, I would really appreciate it if someone can clear up my progesterone ????

Thanks everyone!!

Teresa:

My Dr. put me on the suppository progesterone at 6 weeks 4 days. I am to do this every night until 11 weeks. He said that around 9 weeks, your placenta actually starts making all of the hormones that you will need to sustain your pregnancy and that he wanted to make sure we had some overlap. My ob/gyn agreed with him and said after 11 weeks quit.

I certainly don't want to tell you when you can stop your injections, call your clinic if you're unsure, but it sounds like you could be done! I still have hard spots on my bum from 6 1/2 weeks of those progesterone shots, I can't imagine what yours must feel like! I begged to be off the shots!

You officially made it past the 12 weeks zone! Congratulations! Also, I don't think they get to mess around with your dates via the babies size (ultrasound) because you know exactly when ovulation was (the day of ec).

Hi Shannon

Just wanted to wish you all the best with your scan tomorrow, got my fingers crossed for twins for you.

I have another appointment on 28th Sept to discuss the ins and outs of next treatment but should be able to do it this year and NHS will fund a FET and we have 3 frosties left. So hopefully this time! 6th time lucky!

Glad everyone else is doing well.

Paige,
Thanks so much for you response, I guess I am safe to stop the progesterone...

Alicia,
Can't wait to hear your results....,.

I have an appt. tomorrow with gyno. just a check up, and to hear the heart beat !!! I can't wait.. Jaime is also coming with me, we are so excited, but deep down I am also a little scared.. I have heard a few people say that they weren't able to hear the hb at 12... I will definately demand a scan if he can't hear it...

Talk to you all soon.

Ah, HCG at 8,626! Definately a good number - actually kind of freakishly high. So they're going to let me go in 6 days early for the first scan. Maybe they can figure out what is going on. So it's Thursday morning, now. Thank you all so much for your thoughts and reassurances.

Theresa,

I hope the heartbeat is deafening! Good luck for your checkup.

Shannon,

Put me in for twins for you as well! I hope your scan goes well tommorrow. It must be so amazing to actually see the baby(babies) even if they only look like specs at this point.

Great news Alicia! I'll bet it took a load off of your thought process. How many embies did you have transferred back?

Paige,

Three embies - two good looking and one with only 3 fragmented cells left alive after thawing. Why do you ask?

We'll know more tommorrow. I have to work directly after the scan but will post in the evening.
