Weird Cramp

Post by sfisch »

Ok ladies,

We had our scan yesterday and saw our little baby's heartbeat and everything is GREAT! I do have some internal bleeding they are a little concerned about, so I am on "pelvic rest" at least for the next week -- so no exercising, no lifting, no housework, no sex, etc. Well last night, I developed a really weird cramp on my lower right side (definitely not ectopic pain -- I have had two tubal pregnancies and that pain is way different!). It hurt so bad, but it was right before bedtime. So I went and to bed and I was fine, no pain at all while laying down. Well this morning when I got up, it is still there and hurts really bad when I walk. But when I am still, either sitting down or laying down, it is fine. I have a call in to the doctor's office -- just wondering if anyone else experienced this sort of thing. I think it may be muscular because it doesn't hurt when I am still. I just wish the pain wasn't in my abdomen!

They did say that my ovaries are still very enlarged, I wonder if it could have something to do with my ovaries. . .and thoughts?

Shannon:

I had some pretty major cramping until my ovaries went down. The Dr. said it was pretty normal, as the follicles were being reabsorbed. My Dr. Didn't collect any egg that the follicle measured under 10mm, so I had a bunch left over that my body had to deal with on it's own.

I'd definately have it checked out though.

Hi Shannon

Glad to hear your scan went fine. I have no words of wisdom about the pain, get it checked out as Paige says and just get as much rest as possible.

Thank you both! I just got back from several hours at the clinic. Another ultrasound showed that the baby is just fine and there is no problem with my ovary or tube. So the doc thinks it may be round ligament pain, so I am to take it easy -- same instructions as yesterday! But I feel so much better after seeing the little baby again today!

Glad to hear things are fine. If it's any help - I had very bad cramping for quite a while and things turned out fine.

Take it easy!

Hi Shannon
I am pleased to hear everything is going well for you.Things always feel much better when you can see your little baby dont they? I would have like daily scans just to check on what is happening.!!!! I think pains are common throughout pregnancy I had loads in the end I gave up worrying. I always got them checked out if they felt"wierd" though.
Take care
