Hi. I'm 32 and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 5 years. I have endometriosis, and had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy two years ago. My gynaecologist reassured me that my tubes are clear and that all the tissue had been removed, but we still haven't had any success. My husband has a very haigh sperm count, but a slightly high level of immobility. We have changed our lifestyles, and i have tried acupuncture to no avail. Our specialist has suggested ICSI as an option - one we might have to take. Is there anything else i can do to enhance our chances of natural conception, for instance i have read about a product call 'Fertility Blend', does anyone know about it and does it help, or is it just a waste of money?
Liz
I also have endometriosis but my tubes are blocked. We are on the long road of IVF and have been for awhile.
I don't know a great deal about natural conception but I recently bought Zita Wests book on conception & fertility, most of which is centred around nutrition, vitamins and complementary treatments. It may be worth a read as there was a lot in it that I didn't know. Who knows you may be doing all that she says already. It also has a section on endometriosis with advice on how to deal with that and a section on fertility treatments.
Hope you are lucky, sorry I couldn't be more help.
