waiting

Hi girls,
Just wanted to share that I am now 36 weeks 2 days and it seems as if it may not be very long now before they induce me, it is even possible it would happen this week. It is a bit of a confusing time for me because about 10 days ago they claimed one of my twins was not going to grow any more, that the placenta was not feeding it properly so they said they were going to induce to prevent her from having problems. Well, they've had their hearts monitored every day since then and I have also had ultrasound measuring the flow from the placenta twice a week and she seems to be doing ok, even though she is quite small for the gestational age (not the boy - he is still bigger than average!). It's quite strange to be torn between the anticipation of birth and worry about her...But I will have another ultrasound tomorrow and hopefully will know if she is ok for another few days. I just keep worrying that one baby will be allowed home and the other will have to stay there and how will I feed them. Not the worst case scenario anyway, but still...Keep your fingers crossed for us please.

Hi Julianna,

Just wanted to say good luck with tomorrows scan. If the doctors thought she would be in danger they would have her out by now. Keeping them for over 36 weeks is good going. My midwife told me if a twin needs to stay in hospital they both stay. They wouldn't split them up, not sure if thats just here or a standard policy across the board.

I am 19 weeks with twins. I have a scan next wednesday and am hoping everything is going well.

Just think this time next week you may be snuggled up with your two beautiful babies.

Hi Shellie,
I remember that you are having twins do you know their genders yet, do you want to know? Next week it must be your 20 week scan, very exciting, I do hope all will be well, our 20 week scan was a good reassuring moment...
I am just about to head for the hospital and the waiting there hope it will not be 3 hours as last Friday. I think the policy of not splitting twins is very sensible, just hope my own hospital has heard of this policy. or that my little girl grows enough that it's not needed.
I remember the excitement of all of us waiting for Tracey and Helen to give birth in these last weeks, and waiting for news every day, it seemed long even from a distance...I am starting to feel as if I can make it at least as long as 37 weeks, but one day at a time seems to be the only way at the moment.
have not heard from Alisonn, I really wonder if she has given birth!

that is great that they are doing such a great job of making sure everything is looking ok.
only postitve thoughts on your scan.

hihi juliana, hope u are still hanging in there with your little ones,
i had a bit of a bleed last nght along with contractions that seem to have
stopped this morning, but phone the hospital and they said as there
was no mucas with the bleed they want me in to check, so my
partner is on his way home now, little junior is very active which
is reasurring, but will feel better once i have been checked out.
It sounds like you are being moniter well but can understand
all your concerns, wont be long now for both of us.

Hi only me

Just popped on quickly as Emily screaming to say don't worry too much - the babies will be fine now and if there is a chance they are not they will whip them out.
Thinking of you - my email address is on my profile if you need me - easier to get hold of me that way.
these two are hard work but lovely and putting on weight - now 8lb8 and 8lb4.5
Will write more later - can someone set up a thread and pop down all the news on what caz etc are having and who is pg etc so I can see easily

Hi girls,
time is passing much faster now that I am not desperately trying to keep them in any more! I feel ready for them to come out, but apperantly they are not - Friday I had no dilation and the sweep did nothing to change this! But I should have a date Monday when I will be 37 weeks and 3 days.
Alisonn, I am really wondering what happened to you, will be waiting eagerly for the news. You might be there already for all I know! Good luck!
Shell, I hope Alex is eating better and that things are better with you as well...will be watching for news from you.
Tracey, loved the photos! I hope mine will be as cute!
