It's nice to find this web-site and know that I am not the only person on this awful 2 week waiting period.
I had ET on Thursday and am due to test on the 22nd August. Had two little embies put back in from 5 eggs produced.
This is our first time at IVF so not sure what to expect.
I am having the two weeks off work - but not quite sure what to do and what not to do. Hospital said to carry on as normal but as I had a miscarriage three years ago, I'm frightened I will over do it.
Any advice from anyone?
Good Luck to everyone who is waiting - I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of us.

Hi Barb,
We are in this together, I had my ET on Friday and am due to test on the 23rd.

There are no had and fast rules as to what u should do. I am also off work this week and am planning to rest as much as possible, get Dh to wait on me, read lots of books, watch videos and keep logging onto the site to keep myself saine. Everyone is different but just do what u feel is right.

Rest and relaxation are the order of the day, at times this is easier said than done as we analyise every twinge and pain but there is always someone on here to help.

Good luck.

Mandy.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Congratulations Maggie on your positive result - it's really great to hear some good news and I hope everything goes well for you.

Mandy - thanks for the advice. It's good to know someone is at the same stage as me. You sometimes feel so alone.
I am resting but I had a little trip out today. Felt OK, but I didn't realise how bloated my stomach was until I put a pair of jeans on.
I know what you mean about noticing every little twinge and pain.
Talk soon - and take care of your-self.

Love Barbs.

[Edited by Barbs on 10-Aug-02 17:50]
