Was supposed to be having my blood test today, so my husband took me away Friday-Monday for us both to relax, woke up Saturday & had started to bleed & now its a full flowing PERIOD
We are absolutely gutted & that is an understatement to say the least.
The thing I cant understand is I had 22 Follicles & they only took 8 so in my eyes that meant I was bound to ovulate & low & behold 2 days after ET I could feel the usual twinges I get at the time of ovulation
As we didnt freeze any we will have to start from scratch, but the problem is money, we just dont have another £3k, what do we do get in debt
Had one failed cycle of icsi mar 04, will be having another fresh cycle sept 04. I have damaged tubes and my husband has anti bodies on his sperm (we are both broken) Been trying without any success for 7 long years. Both results negative

I totally understand where you are coming from. Although I got a +ve a day before I was due to test, I started bleeding heavily 10 days later and I'm definately not pg now. I only had 10 follies, and they took 4 eggs (don't know if some of the others were empty or not) but I understood that the body re-absorbs the extra eggs anyway, so even if you think you have ovulated as well (I got these pains daily!) I don't think it would have affected the outcome.
I know how gutted you must be feeling. We're also not sure what to do next as our area doesn't do IVF funding and even though 'everyone' is supposed to be allowed one free go as from April next year, my Dr is pessamistic about it as our area is so heavily in debt which won't be reviewed for another 2 years! It costs £4,500 where we are, which is why we opted to do it in Italy (got family out there, and costed £1,600 plus flights and car hire), but I found it very traumatic out there as I don't speak the language and they wouldn't let my DH into the room for either EC or ET.
Anyway, I'm sure nothing I can say will make you feel any better, but just look after yourself (and DH!) and take it slowly.
Love Jools x

I'm really sorry to hear that you have your period. Can I make a suggestion? Please think about getting tested anyway even though you know it is negative. I too had a full bleed but tested anyway and it was a weak positive. I was assured that it would result in a miscarriage which it did a week later, but it is good to get tested to know if you are definately negative. My experience has been the more information you have, the better you feel i.e. more confident etc..-of course you might not feel the same way..
I wish I could say something that would be of more comfort, I know how difficult this can be.
