Well went to my doctors GP last Wednesday and blood pressure up, really disappointed as this happened when I had Jess but much later on resulting in on set of pre eclampsia and caesaren etc. Also was on beta blockers anyway this time so my B.P. should be perfect anyway bottom figure 94 and going back tommorow hopefully it may have gone down otherwise they just keep increasing dose.
Really does seem unfair as leading very healthy lifestyle no wine/salt/cigerettes/life!!!!
Don't know really what to do everything seems to make me feel like it's racing got to become more calm I guess?
Cate,
I don't know if this is something you can do, but when I developed high blood pressure during pregnacy I was placed on bed rest and advised to stay in a dark room. The pregancy continued as normal and resulted in a healthy baby.
Mia
Thanks Mia, lovely name by the way, keep finding myself doing that with every name lately which is ridiculous because only ten weeks pregnant!
I went back to my GP yesterdayand BP down to eighty something (the bottom figure) so the medicine is working and have to stay on them.
I think they are just going to keep on monitoring it.
On a brighter note it's a beautiful Autumn day in sunny Liverpool, been shopping in town for a birthday present for my sister in law to post to her bought some lovely things, and caught myself wandering into the maternity section there are some quite nice things there.
I really don't need anything yet tho I'm desperate to dress up in comedy items, at the moment I just feel bloated and uncomfortable by the end of the day. I have stopped wearing my Levis as it's abit of a squeeze but thats about it.
I can't wait to be 12 weeks so I can relax a little bit and feel a bit safer and tell people.
I took my daughter Jess to a party the other night one of her friends was ten. 36 little girls all at at disco it was lovely I stayed because I am in fact a saint and I do love a good childrens party it was lovely even got up once when one of the children didn't have a partner much to Jessies horror!!!! Anyway the Mum whose daughters party it was offered me a drink because I was helping with the food etc and I declined a bit to forcefully and she guessed, it was funny someone knowing today at the school she came over with chocs for me for helping and whispered well you must still have one vice! It's great I am so happy Cate
I look over this side everyday to see everybodys progress.
I have a lot of problems with my blood pressure and take 5 tablets a day to try and keep it under control. when I last saw my consultant he said that 'when' I get pregnant they are expecting blood pressure to be a problem. They will carry out a lot more scans to make sure the baby is growing , and I will be monitored very closely.
I think they will probably do the same with you. So at least you will get to see the baby more often which as got to be a good thing!!!
I'm on day 3 of stimming, hope to join you very soon on this side.
Jackie
Thanks Jackie
I had high BP with Jess 10 years ago but it really didn't become a problem til nearer the end I worked up to the six weeks before bit but then had to have emergency delivery because bp went bananas, asyou say I did see a lot of her in scans throughout which was reassuring, and they do say that it doesn't do any harm. Jess was certainly perfect just a bit small she was 6 2 when she was born and went down to 5 8 and went all yellow I remember I had to put her in the sunlight in our old house and as she was born in September there were some beautiful sunny days.
I actually had her on my 30th birthday 6th September 1994 I had epidural so was awake and when I mentioned it was my birthday they all went quickly and she was born 11.06pm of the evening of my birthday the best present I have ever had!!!
It's funny because I was forty this year another birthday and here I am again bit of a break ??? I hope everything starts to work for you soon stay in touch Cate x
