Discussion forum for those who had completed their IVF treatments without a successful outcome and are seeking other options such as adoption, surrogacy etc.
Hi, just a message for all those that can remember me from a couple of years ago. As you may remember, we gave up on IVf after 4 attempts to go through the adoption process. Well, we now have a baby girl who means the world to us. It has not been easy, and I expect many bumpy rides still to come, nut we have made it.
I can't tell you how happy I was to read your message. I have been checking this site for mths waiting for some news from you. Many many congratulations. What is your daughter's name?
Congratulations on your fantastic news. It's such a pity though that adoption is such a long haul, but at least you now have your daughter. How old is she, and as Dee said, what's her name?
Wishing you and your family all the very best for the future.
Oh Alice
This news has cheered me up no end. You will remember we cycled together some time ago. Then last year on my last cycle you were so supportive of me. I really do remember all your kind and supportive words.
I am so very pleased for you and your husband. It is truly wonderful news. I wish all three of you a lovely and incredibly happy family life.
I would love to know more details too. How old is she now? and what is her name?
I know you will be so very busy but would love to hear how you are getting on from time to time.
With lots of love and congratulations
Love

we werent blessed with our babies to raise here but we our blessed with our grandaughter
and all of our many adopted and foster children that touch our lives
and i am glad to add that our 6th grandchild will be born this spring!!!!
Many congratulation Alice. It is so lovely to hear from people who've found the families they are so desperate for through the adoption route after the disappointment of IVF.
It is so nice when people come back with positive news like this.
We are at the stage of trying to decide if we should stop ivf and start adoption or continue with ivf for a bit longer. Could you tell me how long it took you from your last cycle to the time your brought your little girl home? I would also be interested to know if you adopted within the UK.
Thanks everyone, especially Dee and Grace who I was cycling with way back. My daughter is 10 months and I have to say very beautiful. The adoption process from the initial enquiry and assessment to bringing her home has taken nearly 2 years. Its been incredibly difficult at times, very much like IVF! but I have a good end product. There is life after IVF after all. Now I just have to get used too being a mum.
Love to all
