Debra - Thanks for that, you always make so much sense and I just seem to gabble on here!! I think you have been really strong in even going to see your friends baby, you've done really well. Do you think now possibly you could keep an opened mind about trying again? Hope you are doing ok..
Kim - Thanks so much for your lovely positive vibes!! That was a really sweet message, wish I could get that good feeling thing but I guess it's all natural feeling like this.. I am keeping my fingers so crossed for you on Friday! It's getting near!!!!
Elizabeth - That is a really good way to think, get things in balance. Thanks for the PMA! Sorry you're feeling a bit yuck, it's the follies doing their thing, so it's all good! Have you got time off work soon?

Kel xx

Hi everybody

Jill & Jen -Hope you are both recovering from the shock and starting to relax a bit and enjoying being pregnant.

Kel -Hope you are ok today and feeling better about everything

Kim -Good Luck for Friday!!!

Had my day 16 scan this morning. The follicles are a good size (at last) so egg collection is at 9.30am on Friday. I was beginning to think we weren't going to get there! My blood pressure was brilliant this morning, I think it must have been the relief of everything -so that is also really good news. The nurse said I will definitely be kept in hospital afterwards so I am to leave a bag in the car with everything in it, I guess at least I know what to expect this time and will be prepared.
I'm not sure what I am feeling at the moment -anxious, happy, scared, very excited -just a whole mix of emotions. The nurse said it will be good having the embryos transferred on Monday, it will give them a bit longer.(last time out of 17 eggs of which 10 fertilized, we only got 2 poor quality embryos although I did get a positive result), There are less follicles this time she counted 12 so hopefully this will lead to better quality.

Hope everybody else is ok and progressing steadily.

Hello everyone

Thank you for the words of support they've really cheered me up.

Woke up 3 times in the night in quite a lot of pain and I'm struggling today at work. I don't know if anyone has experienced this but I've got bad pains in my groin area - any ideas what this could relate to?

Jackie - Good luck for Friday it's really exciting, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get the BEST quality eggs. xx

Jill - So happy that things are still going well for you, it's wonderful. xx

Kel - Hope you're coping ok, am thinking of you. xx

Luv and best wishes to everyone

Kim,

Please call a nurse and make sure everything is OK. Don't mean to sound alarmist but if the pains are that bad..are you at risk for OHSS? If you are this could be symptoms of that, but again I would call and be sure

I had my scan today..21 follicles, 11 good size the other 10 smaller, so I call tomorrow to find out if I go in for EC Monday. Has anyone ever gone in earlier than they were originally scheduled (for EC)? This time around more follies, I think, no wonder I'm feeling such discomfort. Jsut as you say, Kel. Jackie, wishing you some good quality eggs..only takes one, but it is nice to have more, isn't it?

Not much longer now Kim and Kel. Wishing the best for you both. Oh wouldn't it be nice if we all get BFPs...

Hi Buddies,
Elizabeth, I couldn't agree more BFP's all round would be so wonderful.
Your follies sound fab good for you role on EC x
Kim, I didn't have egg collection as we used an egg donor but I think Elizabeth is right, just to be on the safe side give the hospital a call if you are still in pain x
Jackie, two more sleeps till your EC wow take care x
Kel, are you managing to stay calm, I hope so x
Love Jill xx

Hi Girls

Not looking good............. bad news .......I have cried my way through an IVIG today after hearing my levels had bearly increased. They went from 240 to to 282.........some of the girls said there may be hope.......one of the nurses was very negative and basically said it was hardly a good cycle with my bad egg quality and only 2 embies and it was my choice if i wanted IVIG!

Anyway looks like it is all over for us.......for the sixth time......a very very cruel trick...

Have to go again Friday..........not holding my breath!

Love

Oh Jen, I really hope there's a chance things will be OK. I never had any hcg level blood tests as my Dr wouldn't do them as I had IVF abroad and they don't do those tests on the NHS. I was upset at the time, but I imagine it's harder when the tests show results that could have devastating implications. I'm praying that things will turn round and you'll have an improvement next test. Have the Dr's said if they can give you anything to help? When I was miscarrying, my IVF Dr in Italy told me to have a progesterone injection which had a small chance of helping me to hang on to the pregnancy, but I think I left it too late before speaking to him, and that I'd already lost them. I'm praying things will be OK for you. It's heartbreaking to go through this once, let alone as many times as you. Stay strong.

Lots of love, Jools xx

Jen

I'm so sorry about what you're having to go through, but if it was definately over you wouldn't be going back on Friday, so there is hope.

Will be thinking of you and wishing for for good news for you on Friday with all my heart.

Thinking of you all as always

Hello....just wondering how everyone is today? News, updates, thoughts..???

Kel. How is your self-imposed resting going? When is test day?

Jill. How are you doing?

Jen. What time will you back for your tests? What was the treatment you had yesterday? The nurse you mentioned sounds like an old cow! Ignore her.

Elizabeth. That sounds like a great number of follies. Well done. Let us know if Monday is the big day or not.

Jackie. Good luck for tomorrow.

Kim. Did the pain go away?

hugs all round,
Debra.

Hi Debra

Yes thanks I'm not in pain today although I did spend last night with a hot water bottle clutched to my tummy.
I did mention it to the nurse today and she just said if it gets worse to go to my GP.
My thoughts about tomorrow are being pushed well and truely to the back of my mind and in all honesty I hardly dare think about it.

How are things withs with you?

Luv to everyone else

Jen,

I'm so hoping that things turn around for you..I don't think I'm familiar with this situtation so I'm not sure what to think, especially because your initial numbers were so good. All I can say is that I'm thinking of you, sending you a big hug, and am so sorry to hear of your distress. Please keep us updated with how things go.

Love,
