Jan-Feb cycles ???

Hi,

I am relatively new to this website and we are gonna start our first IVF cycle in Jan. Am really excited and nervous as well. Tried to do biopsy twice for checking integrin and both the times the result came out of phase. The doctor said they would just assume and treat for integrin deficiency. So i start medication Nov 8th for 2 months.

First of all good luck for your treatment. I am going to start my first cycle of ivf in dezember on a short protocol, so ec should be in january. What protocol r u on?

I am going to be on Lupron and some other medicine for 2 months and we will do the egg retrival in Jan. How bout you ?

Hi Prerna,

i have startet on the pill this month and will start injecting buserelin in dezember for 2 weeks (hopefully) and then on fsh. Hopefully everything is done by the end of january.

Is this your first try?

Yep, this is our first try on IVF. We tried 6 cycles of IUI before this.

Where are u from ? we r in the US. Looks like a lotta people n this site r from Europe. How r the doctors and treatment like there ?

i am german, dh british, currently living in germany. tmt will take place in gb. What i have seen of the clinic and the doctors so far seemed quite good.

Dh and I are orig from India . Dh has been in the US for past 10 yrs and myself for 8 yrs. We live in Cleveland, Ohio.

Hi Prerna,
sorry for not writing for a few days.
Yes, the election in us...i was so hoping for kerry to win...never mind.
So...how do u find living in the us? i have never been but dh has and he loved it.
r u starting medication tomorrow? Is it injections or nasal spray. i guess lupron is for downregulation? I am not starting until end december and i am on buserelin injections.

Hi Sally,

We like US. But we do miss our family back home. We had been to Europe last year and we just loved it!!! We had been to Swizerland, France, Germany. It was just so beautiful !! Except for the fact that the cost of living is high as compared to the US.

I dont think i wld be on nasal spray. Whats that for ?? I will be taking my lupron sometime after tomorrow after they do my bloodtest.

I guess the medications r a little different for the 2 of us. When do u do ur egg retrival??

where abouts in Germany have u been? Have u been to uk at all?

The lupron u r taking is that injections? Some of the girls do downreg. with a nasal spray some with injections (like me). I start downregulating with injections in december and hopefully have er mid. january. we will be staying in uk for the whole time of the treatment which i am really looking forward to. makes a change to living in germany all the time

Did u have a good weekend ??
Never been to UK...wld love to someday. We were in Frankfurt when we visited Germany. Is there no hospital in Germany where u can do the treatment ? That wld be a long stay in the UK until the time u r done...isnt it ??
Do u work or u at home ?? I work in IT(info tech). Work on SAP. So there is no luxury of staying away from home for too long.

Yes there is quite a few clinics for tmt over here but we would have to pay everything ourselfs because we both have british health isurance, so we decided to go for the more complicated but cheaper option and do in uk. Hopefully we dont have to do it to often

I am at home at the moment, but will look for work again after tmt. i am a leagle sec.

So, have u startet on your lupron yet? really hope everything is going all right for u. let me know.

Hi Sally,

Havent gotten a call from the hospital yet. I went for the blood test yesterday. usually the nurses call only after 3pm or so. So hopefully i shd get a call from them today.
Weekend was good.
Which part of Germany do you live ?

we r living in west germany near Duesseldorf if that rings a bell? we had the first snow last night, which is pretty early, and all is looking really pretty and white now.

Hi Sally,

Blood results were OK. Progesterone level was 6.9 > am gonna get my lupron injection today and also start on Aygestine following my period. The nurse said mid Jan wld be approximately my date. Its really hard to do this treatment while u r working. I skip my lunchtime and try to get this done...but its toomuch of a stress as I dont want the whole world to knwo at my personal affair either...
I have a dog whoz 6 months. Hes adorable. I love him. We had him fixed the day before ..poor thing was in lotta pain. Seems to be doing much better now.
No, havent heard the part of Germany u r in....
