Hello everyone.
This is definately a great idea to have a mummies board.
I dont get much time to get on here anymore - I spend most of my time with Phoebe when I am home. I work 4 days a week 9-5 and if I could afford to stay at home then I would - its not that I dont like work its just that I never thought leaving my babe would be so heartbreaking. I cry every morning that I drop her at nursery - she loves nursery though :D
She is now 7 months old and weighs 16lb.
I've been reading shells weaning thread cos Phoebe seems to be a bit hit and miss with food. I cant seem to get her to eat anything for brekkie and this morning she only had 3oz of milk!!
It also looks like she may have a squint (apparently they can run in the family and i had one.) We have to go to the hosi 13 Dec for a check.

I Love being a Mum.

I keep asking dh when we can have another go. I always wanted to be a mum and my dream came true - it was a long time coming but it was well worth it.

I would like to say thanks to everyone on the board cos this was a godsend when we started our treatment.

Its great catching up and seeing how you all are.
luv Bertie xx

Hi Bertie,

I'm back at work 4 days a week, but keep sneaking onto the board! I was really addicted while on the 2WW and have rediscovered my addiction!! Jay is now 9 months and about 20lbs, and not sure if this will help, but when I started weaning him, I started with baby rice and fruit puree after his milk at 6pm. Then after a couple of weeks I also gave baby rice and veg puree after milk at 11.00am. I then gradually increased the veg so he was having a variety of veg purees (no rice) after milk at 11am, then baby rice and fruit after 6pm milk. Then when he got a bit bigger, at about 7 months I gave him weetabix or ready brek after his milk at 7.30am as well.

He gradually lost interest in his 11.am milk in favour of food and then about 4 weeks ago also dropped his 2.30pm milk, so he's just on 2 milk feeds a day now (7.30am and 6.30pm) but he just stopped wanting milk in the day (he'd just smile and not drink any, or move his head away from the bottle!) I used Gina Ford's 'contented little baby book of weaning' which I found to be excellent and Jay followed it to the letter. It is really useful and also gives some good recipe ideas, adn you can use it up to and beyond 12 months

I presume squints are quite easy to correct at such a little age are they? it doesn't sound as if it's a severe one, but best of luck for December - wow can't believe it's so close!

Must get on with work!!!!
