Hi thought i'd start another thread for the 3rd tri,cant believe i'm 30weeks today.
dh and me have got the week off work so we've been busy buying for our new kitchen and the nursery,we've been to look to look at the tiles today its so hard to make a decision.
Went to mamas and papas on monday and ordered the cot and changing unit,mattress cot bumper,cot blanket,wallpaper and border in millie and boris so feel alot better now things are moving dh as glossed the nursery today just need teh ceiling done then mums coming up on sunday to wallpaper I cant wait to see it finished I've told dh I will always be in there,cant belive we will have a baby in 10weeks.
At the midwife tomorrow so I will see how much my bump is measuring tomorrow as when I went two weeks ago I was measuring 30 weeks,I'm on iron tablets so hoep fully they are doing the trick.
Was feeling really tearful last week thankfully I've been alot better this week I think it was because the house was upside down as we were having our new kitchen fitten and I think i was ready to finish work for a week as my ankles were hurting they havent been too bad this week they are aching abit tonight but I've been to meadowhall shopping.
Hope everyone is ok its so quite on this side now I tend to post on ff more.

Congratulations on making 30 weeks. I am 25 weeks 4 days now, not quite in the 3rd trimester but thought I'd reply on your thread. It is a good feeling when you start to get organised. As we are having twins I was eager to get things sorted in case they want an early arrival. Last weekend we put up the winnie the pooh border and I am so happy with the room now. We painted the walls a pale yellow and the border has pale greens, burgundies, blues and yellow. The only furniture in there at the moment is a change table ( we borrowed) and an ikea chair but I love sitting in there imagining what it will be like with 2 cotbeds and 2 sleeping babies! We have ordered all the other furniture from the Glasgow Pram Centre and they are holding it for us until 11th December. Can't wait for these babies now.
I have been signed off work and I am getting sick and sorry for myself. I am very uncomfortable and tired. I imagined I would get so much done when I finished work but it is not the case.
I bet you can't wait for the kitchen to be finished. I know I am trying to get my house in order before the babies. Our house is new so no DIY needed but there are wardrobes where we just shoved things in when we moved and I have never got round to organising them. These are small compared to having a new kitchen though.

Well done Gem for setting up this thread - can you believe we're at 30 weeks already? After this week I have a week off and then only 5 more weeks at work, it's quite astonishing where the time goes...!
Our little girl seems well, kicking away regularly, so I'm happy about that and DH gets more and more excited about having a little daughter.
Nursery is taking shape, we're got the main bits in there (chest of drawers, cotbed, moses basket, etc), but need still loads of accessories like blankets, sheets etc. AND i've been so restrained on the clohes front the poor girl only has one outfit at the moment, so can't wait to shop for that!
Having a bit of a nightmare with our kitchen. We had ordered new worktops to fit ourselves (they said they would not fit them, because it's easy to do ourselves), but they advised us on the wrong size and our DIY friend is not touching the worktops with a bargepole because it looks too complicated for him. So what chance do we have?
Anyway, we might now send it all back and get a refund and actually get a completely new kitchen fitted another time. Wouldn't be possible to get it done before Xmas now, would it?
So might be looking forward to having a new kitchen fitted with a new crying baby around...! Can anyone suggest a more efficient solution?
My mum's coming over from Germany next week for some serious baby shopping, so it'll all be happening then - can't wait!
Also got some antenatal check-up and our first class!
Oh it's all so exciting! We're so pleased and over-the-moon, it's all too good to be true!

Glad you are both getting ready for your miracles,I still cant believe we will have a baby I've started thinking about giving birth oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!
Been to the midwife today everything is ok with peanut I'm now measuring 33weeks!! midwife doesnt seems concerned as she said I'm healthy and dont smoke or drink and as this is a ivf baby a very wanted baby so she would be worried if I was measuring smaller than my dates,I'm at the hosp 10th nov so she said they will find more out and advice me on what to do I said well tehy cant make it smaller
they did get my friends baby weight wrong as they said she would have a big baby but she had a 6lb baby!!!! so we will see what they say on the 10th.
We've finally picked teh tiles today for the kitchen and the tiler is starting on the 15th so kitchen is getting there,I've just cooked in my new cooker.
Just need to order the car seat now,I'm going to get teh pram devilered before xmas an dkeep it at mum and dads then I know I've got it incase peanut comes early and plus I can get to play with it.
Shellie I cant wait to finish work I finish 3rd December 5weeks to go cnat wait. I need to start swimming as I bought a maternity costume and I've only worn it once need to find some willpower

Hi all,
Thought I would join you on this thread! I am now 35 weeks and am getting impatient to see my new daughter. I finished work 2 weeks ago as my blood pressure had gone a bit high, seems to have settled now I am taking it a bit more easy. Like you all, the nursery is almost done, though I am still waiting for the crib to arrive (should be next week). I am going to have C. Section as this baby is breech, see the consultant next Tuesday when they will give me a date - all seem's VERY imminent now!
Shellie, Gina and Bim - are you all expecting your first babies? This is my third, though my other two are 12 and 9 so it has been quite a few year's since I went through this! This is the first child for my DH though.

HI Ladies,
Thought I mat aswell join you all over here, although I am not yet 3rd trimester, ( almost 26 weeks). Very glad to see you are all doing so well. We went to see the midwife yesterday and the heartbeat was strong and everything else was okay apart from the fact that I am too big for 26 weeks. I am going for a scan in two weeks to check if I have a condition called polyhydramnious. This means too much amniotic fluid. She reassured me that it is nothing to worry about just yet but if baby was breech it may cause problems, at delivery.They will be able to tell by the scan and just keep an eye on things. I did some research on the net but decided not to anymore because in severe cases can mean other complications so I will wait until scan. I feel great though and baby is kicking all the time, little munchkin never relaxes!
Has anyone ever had this and it just settled down itself as I read it can?
On a lighter note we are all sorted for the little arrival, isn't it great getting those tiny clothes and lovely blankets etc. We are so lucky to be expecting these wonderful babies!

It feels very exciting and scary to be posting on this thread. When does the 3rd trimester start properly?
I am 28 weeks now and thought I would let you know that yesterday I actually bought something for the baby!!!!!! I took my daughter to look for some shoes but we ended up buying 3 sleepsuits and matching vests. Then in the afternoon, she persuaded me to buy a little dress with matching tights and a hat. They are very persuasive at 6!
The poor baby still doesn't have anything to sleep in. I feel very inadequate having read all your posts about your lovely sounding nurseries. I am determined to have it all done in November. Will keep you posted.
As well as house hunting we are also trying to buy a new car to accommodate 5 kids so that has taken up a lot of time. We know what we want, it's just trying to find the right one at the right price and also the colour has to be right!
Saw the midwife on Tuesday. Had forgotten to take my 'sample'. I forger everything at the moment and my driving is terrible. Took my daughter to London yesterday to stay with her father and missed the exit off and on the motorway on both journeys. I think I should be banned. My baby is small for her dates as countless scans have already told me. The midwife said she measured 25 weeks but wasn't 'small small'. whatever that means. She didn't seem worried though but I am finding it hard not to worry. It's my nature too which doesn't help.
Off to look for more cars.

So glad to see some SERIOUS shopping going on - that's my girls
I bought far too much or my mother did - we both did! Just some advice - I got far too many sheets and blankets - of course it was hot when they were born and now they are in sleeping bags - these are fabbie things and they are still in a summer one - 1 tog but we have a sheet over them and they love them and you don't worry about them slipping under the covers. As for clothes - some of mine have not been worn - we must have had enough vests to last an army of babies! So if anyone is in need!
Also mum bought so many designer clothes - petit bateau and emily et rose etc - all too small now boo hoo!
Great fun shopping though!
Fiona - well done you and baby does not sound too small - perhaps just under the 50th quartile? As for cars - with a large dog and two step children I got a 2nd hand Sharan in the end - and we still need a roof box really but have not afforded it yet!

I have been to my first two twin antenatal classes. The first one was a bit scary, they gave last years statistics for twins in my area. Out of 37 twins only 15 made it to 36 weeks, with the first twins arriving at 25 weeks!!
I can tell you I was very anxious that week because I was 25 weeks. I've relaxed a bit now and realised there is no reasons for my babies to come out now. My blood pressure is fine and no swelling etc... Last weeks class went through a twin labour and the differences between a single labour. I think it sounds like there will be a party of people in the room while I give birth. Somehow I don't think I'll care as long as they come out healthy. Last class tomorrow night and they go through 'after birth' stuff, especially feeding etc. I am getting excited now. 26 weeks down, who knows how long to go! 
Am starting to get things organised for my hospital bag, I've been told to have it packed early so we will be prepared. Tracey, how long were you in hospital with the twins? Not sure what is needed for them (or what size).

How organized are you! I was in from tuesday until the following Monday but remember I was in labour for 36 hours! They were born by section late thursday night and I was out by Monday morning - they would have let me stay longer but I was up and outta there! Also with c section it is around 4-5 days - I was 3 whole days and a bit but got the all clear. Plan on around 4 days if babies are ok which they will be!
Clothes - I had a couple of prem things which I got on ebay but donated them to the hospital as they were too big - I knew this from the scans really but took them incase they were wrong. Best bet is some sleep suits in tiny baby size - these are the most useful as new baby will swamp them somewhat and 0-3 - don't think so! You won't need much - just some of those each and something to take them home in. Nappies you need but that's it for them really. Says me who had bags full of stuff for them and me!

Have finally got going on the shopping front. DP and I bought a Moses basket, steriliser, bottle warmer, bottles and monitor yesterday. Very exciting. Hoping to do the pram thing next week but we are definitely making progress.
Also got a call from the garage yesterday to say they have found a car for us and my mother tells me her cleaner may have some free time. Hurrah.
On the down side, my tum has exploded and I am getting ligament pain.
My brain has also finally packed up. I went to the bank yesterday to pay a chequein and filled out a cheque instead of a paying in slip. Oh dear.
We are still having sex though which I find incredible. If I was a man, I wouldn't fancy me!!!
Shellie, you are scarily organised. Doin't forget to pack some things for you whilst in hospital. My essentials are the disposable maternity knickers are good as you get the period from hell afterwards (sorry but it's true) and some make up so you don't spend the rest of your life worrying about how washed out you look in the first photos.

Started antenatal last week which was actually really nice -people seem very nice -would be nice to make some new pals too (not theres theres anything wrong with my old ones!!!!! )

Okay ....ladies.......I still don't have a nursery!!!!! In fact I'm sittting here in my DHs "study"(meant to be the nursery!) surrounded by his books, computer, golf clubs, etc etc - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having panic attacked about the poor child having nowhere to sleep!
Still a mate had her baby 6 weeks early and was utterly unprepared and actually said that in the end you realise that you really DONT need that much and it all just sort of gets sorted, eventually, somehow!!!! Heres hoping!!
By the way - Fiona - by mind and gone too - totally!! Scarey huh?!
Stopping work in 2 week - YIPPEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! AND just had this week off - no wonder my minds gone!!

ps- anyone had any thoughts about the kind of "birth" they want?? I'm afriad I'm a total chicken and am defo going for all the pain relieef they'll give me!! IN case any one else considering epidural.... lots of people have told me not to have an epidural because it slows labour....well my doctor just told me that an epidural only slows down labour by 45 minutes-in case anyone was mulling over that one!! I'll take the extra 45 minutes I think!!!!!

pps - anyone else finding almost impossible to imagine that they might actually HAVE a baby - I still can't get my head around it AT ALL!????

Started antenatal last week which was actually really nice -people seem very nice -would be nice to make some new pals too (not theres theres anything wrong with my old ones!!!!!

Okay ....ladies.......I still don't have a nursery!!!!! In fact I'm sittting here in my DHs "study"(meant to be the nursery!) surrounded by his books, computer, golf clubs, etc etc - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having panic attacked about the poor child having nowhere to sleep!
Still a mate had her baby 6 weeks early and was utterly unprepared and actually said that in the end you realise that you really DONT need that much and it all just sort of gets sorted, eventually, somehow!!!! Heres hoping!!
By the way - Fiona - by mind and gone too - totally!! Scarey huh?!
Stopping work in 2 week - YIPPEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! AND just had this week off - no wonder my minds gone!!

ps- anyone had any thoughts about the kind of "birth" they want?? I'm afriad I'm a total chicken and am defo going for all the pain relieef they'll give me!! IN case any one else considering epidural.... lots of people have told me not to have an epidural because it slows labour....well my doctor just told me that an epidural only slows down labour by 45 minutes-in case anyone was mulling over that one!! I'll take the extra 45 minutes I think!!!!!

well mum as finally finished the nursery dh is putting the cot up on thrusday on his day off cant wait to see it up,just need some bedding to get for the cot and pram wheres the best place to get them from,I 've got two fitted cot sheets from mothercare and how many shall I buy???????
Started buying things for my hosp bag,wj=hich is teh best to take a bag or small suitcase???
Going to hosp on weds as I'm shared care so I will see what they say about my baby being big.
Caz nice to hear from you I'm not starting my antenatal classes til 25th nov when I'l be 34weeks,I've got 4 weeks left at work I finish on 3rd dec cant wait when I've finished I can hopefully get sorted out for xmas and hopefully egt some swimming in as I've only been once.
I'm hoping for a natural birth but I will just go with the flow.
Dh thinks I'l give birth in about 6weeks as I'm really big.

Hello dippy ladies!
I found a useful booklet in one of the preggie mags which suggests 4 fitted sheets for a cot, 3 cellular blankets and 4 top sheets. I think that's a bit over the top myself, particularly if your babies are in the fab sleeping bags (from about 10lbs). I will probably get 2 fitted sheets and 2 top sheets, you are going to spend the next 18 years washing several times a day!!!
I would also only take a small bag to the hospital not a suitcase Gem! There isn't much room there and DP/H can always bring in extra stuff if you need it.
Went shopping for the whole day yesterday with a preggie friend and feel knackered today. Bought a few bits for the baby so the list is gradually going down. Hoping to get the pram next week.
New car arrives at the weekend. Very excited!! I am struggling to drive safely now and my parking is completely awful.
We spent the weekend in London on our last ever weekend on our own. It was lovely even though I can't walk too far without getting puffed.
Is anyone else suffering with decongestion and blocked sinuses? I am in agony but have been told I can take Sudafed which I am hoping does the trick.
