Tracy,
I think although clinics might tell you it's OK, the general consensus here is that it's probably best to avoid alcohol and caffeine during your treatment. Even so called 'normal' women are told to avoid it aren't they? It certainly can't hurt. Don't worry about your one glass though, I'm sure that hasn't made any difference!
The other thing about sperm quality. As far as I know it doesn't make too much difference as the best of the bunch is picked to be injected into the egg, and it's done by a sort of natural selection, as the best swimmers, wrigglers whatever go through to get chosen for your egg. They only use one sperm per egg obviously, so I'm sure you'll be able to find half a dozen or so (depending on your eggs) to inject out of however many millions your hub has got.
Good luck,
Tee (another Tracy) x
Hi Tee

Thanks for your advice. I'm a bit more relaxed about the whole thing now. As this is our first attempt I just don't know what to expect re emotions/drugs etc, but after reading the postings on this site I feel so much better. I now just want to get the treatment, or any disappointment, over and done with as soon as possible! I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I got AF on Tuesday and am going back to the clinic for scan and blood test on Monday and hope to start the injections. They've said that they will give me a 'gun' which will help with the injections so I hope it won't be too bad. It's the dreaded pessaries I'm dreading most!!!!

Good luck with any future treatments you have TEE.

Thanks again

Tracy
