Hi, I've already got Maya's major present sorted. She got a Lego Music Maker for her 1st birthday back in May and she ADORES it so we've now bought her the larger and more complicated version! I've also got her a small xlyophone, 2 wooden puzzles and I'm going to get her a Wiggles DVD. She's not watched a dvd before (mean mummy!) but I know that the Wiggles are supposed to be THE toddler favourite - according to my May 2003 baby message board at least and I've seen one of the videos at an Aussie friend's house and it looked like fun.
Sorted!
I'm so looking forward to this Christmas. Maya was too young last year (6m) so this one will be great! Plus we'll be here vs. in the UK so DF and I are looking forward to starting our own family traditions.
hi Girls, I can't wait for Jay's first Christmas - Have got him a gorgeous Christmas Pudding outfit!!!!!!!!! for the Big Day!!
I have seen a gorgeous rocking horse caterpillar thing in Mamas and Papas so might get that. I also like the Leapfrong thing as well so might spoil him and get both!
Bet our miracles will get loads of pressies from doting Grandmas an Grandads won't they??

Daniel and Charlotte are VERY jealous of Maya's Wiggles DVD - you can't buy them over here. They're obsessed with the Wiggles, sing and dance constantly to Wiggles songs and we went to see them live a couple of months ago.

TTC 5 years. Daniel & Charlotte born 22.03.02, 1st ICSI treatment. TTC for 4 further years. 2nd ICSI cycle abandoned, 3rd cycle BFN. Looking forward to being a happy family of 4.
Jules, sadly I wrote my post before hitting the Wiggles online store which told me very clearly that I'll NOT be getting Maya a dvd afterall! We're Region 2 here too so no Wiggles for us. We don't have a vcr otherwise I'd buy a video. I'm not impressed....why do tours of a country but not have merchandise available.....??? I even checked on eBay.co.uk in the hope someone would have a solution - you can buy anything you want there normally...the only thing available was an enterprising guy who sold Region 4 Wiggles dvds PLUS a worldwide dvd player for 40 quid - lol!
Maya doesn't know they exist so won't be disappointed which is more than can be said for her mummy!
What lovely presents all the kids are getting they are so lucky, Well my granny is buying Brodi and Klye a rocking horse, my mum and dad gettign them all their stuff for the garden Eg... swing shoot and climbing frame, my brother getting them a trampoline (They are only 9mth) ha ha and were gettin the a ball pit and they leap frog story teller and clothes and loads off other toys!!!!
Im so looking forward to xmas, bet all the kids prefer the wrapping paper ah!!!
I was thinking of just blitzing the early learning catalogue and getting it all delivered. I do like the sound of the lego music maker Debra, I'll have to have a look for that, and Sally, love the picture conjured up of Jay dressed as a christmas pud.
I think I might start Dan his disney dvd collection off too, I adore all the disney cartoons so can't wait until he wants to sit and watch them with me.

ttc for almost 4 years, diagnosed as unexplained. Just about to begin treatment when we were lucky enough to concieve naturally. Our beautiful baby boy, Daniel, was born on 27 Sept 2003. Now expecting again, baby due 22 Aug 2005.
Sue, it's actually called Lego Music Builder and the first one is a red, dinner plate sized model with 2 holes for different sound 'plugs' the child pushes in. Each pack comes with 3 different noises - incl. instruments and tonal animal sounds. The toy is in the Lego Explore range and might be 18m+. It's designed to teach children to make music by alternating the plugs, choosing the tune played via a button plus a tonal switch so the sound moves up and own according to what the child does. Maya got the first one when she turned one but still plays with it every day at 18m. The one we've bought her for Christmas is bigger with more 'plug' points plus 6 sounds. It says for age 3 but she knows what she's doing so I doubt will have a problem.
Its just so hard isn't it, I mean they are at the age where they will have a go with anything, but I am sure you little one will have plenty of things to play with Christmas. Its so exciting, but can you imagine what they will be like when we put our Christmas trees up?
Well done to Sam for sitting up on his own, give him a big kiss from me I am so proud isn't it just so lovely.
I won't have a real tree because of the pines coming off it and the last thing I would want is for Alex to put them in his mouth. Everything he sees he wants to put it in his mouth. I have a tree up the attic which I had when we first moved in its a slimline tree but I am sure Alex will pull all the trimmings off.
Will you let me know how Sam gets on with his weigh in please?
I don't think Sam will be crawling by Christmas, so I think we'll be ok with a real tree. I hate the fake ones on principles, but I think practicality will take over next year! LOL
Given Sam a big kiss as requested - sending one Alex's way!
How did you get on with his weight? Sam has not put on much (must be due to his moving about more) - he's 8.5 kgs now - STILL not ready for the new car seat!!!! (Good job, we still can't decide anyway...LOL)
