Asprin

I've read that taking aspirin during IVF treatment can help. Can someone tell me why, what dosage you're supposed to take,when during the treatment you can take it and should it be soluble or not? Also anything else you can take which will increase your chances of implantation taking place.<br>Thanks<br>Mandi

hi mandi, i have just read your note and maybe i can help, i am on my day 3 of 2ww{and suffering}. my clinic advised me to take aspirin{75mg}once a day and to drink at least one glass of milk and 2 litres of water. The aspirin is supposed to help with the flow of blood to the uterus. also no nuts, pineapple,alcohol, smoking,and of course the dreaded bullets twice a day. i hope this helps and if you find any more tips, please post a.s.a.p what stage are you at? Hi Jackie<br>Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately my 2nd attempt at IVF has just failed. I'm not due to try again until after Christmas (my choice to wait). Both times everything seemed to be going so well but my embies failed to implant. I asked the hospital (Lister) if they thought I had an implantation problem and they've said they don't think I have, I've just been unlucky so far. I asked if there was anything else I could take to help implantation and they've said that the pessaries should be enough. Next time though I will take aspirin. At what point in your treatment did you start taking it?<br>The 2ww is really c***. Is this your first time?<br>Mandi

Hi guys<br><br>I also took aspirin during both my ICSI attempts. I was given those and pessaries. The Dr said it would help the blood flow to the womb and help with implantation. They were coated aspirin so they didn't irritate the stomach lining. Anything is worth a try.<br><br>Lisa (Loonpants)<br>

Hi Mandi.<br><br>really sorry to read your news. you must be so dissapointed. i am due to have my blood test this morning, but i dont think there is any point as i have woke up to a spot of blood on my pyjamas, and after being to the toilet i have whats like a brown coloured spotting, i am so upset, DH is also in bits.<br>Yes this was oour first try, but i have to say that the 2WW is the most stressful time of the whole thing.<br> i will let you know of the outcome. <br>jackie.
