Hi all,
I had my 6 1/2 week scan today and I am expecting twins !!!! Yippee, we are so pleased.
Anyway our fertility consultant said I don't need any more scans with him, but to go to my GP and that he thinks we will then have our next scan at 19 weeks.
This seems so weird to me ... i thought that after ivf everyone has a 6-7 week scan and then a 9 week scan.
Can you please let me know what happened to you, and at what clinics. i might be able to contact a clinic and ask for a 9 week scan and pay privately. There is no way I can wait until 19 weeks ....

Congrats on the twins. I also have my first ultrasound next week on 13th. I am in my 6th week now. Don't know what to expect. Do you have too much of nausea or vomiting? because they say it is very high with twins. I am worried since i don't have any nausea or vomiting. I just feel very tired.

Congratulations on twins! You are definately getting your money's worth! I had scans at 6, 7, 8 and 9 weeks. Then I was released at 10 weeks to my regular OB/GYN to take over.
I got to see my baby girl again at 15 weeks (amnio ultrasound) and again at 19 weeks for the level II ultrasound. Now, I just feel her kick me around all of the time!

Shyla - yes I have had lots of nuasea and extreme tiredness but then I am also very in tune with what my body is doing. During 2ww I was bed ridden because of pains in my tummy ... so I might just be a bit of a hypochondriac!!! So don't worry too much if you haven't got many symptoms .. my friend didn't even know she was pregnant until 12 weeks as she had no symptoms at all.
Good luck for your scan .. you'll be nervous but so excited as well.
Paige ... you were so lukcy having so many scans .. I can't belive I've got another 5 weeks to wait. Im so worried something might go wrong and I will be blissfully unaware.
