autoimmune disease... POF... IVF???

Post by nwtyng »

Have been spending a lot of money doing tonnes of blood test for the past 2 weeks... found the cause for my POF - i've got autoimmune disease with an abnormal antinuclear antibody that have destroyed my ovary now the doctors are concerned about my other internal organs, like my kidney etc and I'm now waiting for the next batch of blood test report coming out next monday.

my gynae refused to do anything until i get confirmation that my body is working ok. eventhough she feels that I won't have any eggs of my own and strongly go against my decision to start IVF, i insisted! I'll give it a try to confirm if I hv my own eggs, even if the result is negative, at least i tried.... so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that i have a good result for next monday, then i can start the 2 weeks "needle injection" period... or wat do u call that? i'm so nervous.... i was told to try getting pregnant asap as soon as i confirmed i'm ok for now cos i wouldn't know when i'll get a worse attack from the antibodies that might be fatal... things are getting a bit too challenging for me......

anyone having the same experience as me??? any advise??

Autoimmune disease, I heard about this (but that is all I can say) your body is reacting against itself..
It sounds a severe illness and yet I can imagine that you want to go for IVF as soon as you have a thumbs up for your blood.
I'm sorry, I do not know what to advise you...
