Post by Susan L »

Hi girls

i have never posted on this side before but hoping from today on i can thats with my positive head on i am terrified i have my 6 week scan today and im a nervous wreck, when i got my first positive at the beginning of this year i was so excited and at my 6 week scan there was no heart beat and all went wrong im just so scared its going to happen again not sure how i will be when i get to the clinic i dont want to cry but not sure how i will cope

i have read alot of stories on here where people have had bad experiences like mine and then gone on to get another positive and all to be ok i just wish and hope i can be one of them too

thanks for listening as i have no one to talk to as no one knows we even done more treatment its so hard not having anyone but DP to talk over my worries with as he is worried to but so tries to stay strong for us both

will try and let you no later what happens

bye for now

Dear Susan,

It is understandable that you are scared, but try not to get too caught up in it. I had a very early miscarriage during my first IVF and now I'm pregnant at 8 weeks, so there is always hope. In fact, I would think that the odds of the same thing happening twice in a row is rather low, so try and concentrate on the fact that you are indeed pregnant and that it is more likely that your baby will be just fine. I wish you and your DP all the best for tomorrow and will be thinking of you, fingers and toes crossed!

Susan,

CONGRATULATIONS!! How exciting that it will be twins! I remember that first ultrasound. We were so afraid because I had bleeding still. Then to find two little heartbeats was so shocking and wonderful.

Good luck with everything. I'm sure we'll be talking more, as I'm right in front of you at 19 weeks.
