Hi Breezer,

Thought I'd welcome you over to the new site - I've not heard anyone mention the Liverpool Womens Hospital for IVF treatment, although I did myself spend some time in their dreadful nurses accomodation many, many (more than I'd care to remember) years ago during a placement whilst I trained as an Occupational Therapist (I now work in IT). Not really that helpful, I know, sorry.

I'm at Manchester Fertility Services so not many miles away. Where are you up to with treatment now?

Good Luck

Fiona xxx

Hi Breezer,

We are all in the same boat here - regardless of past. We all want a child badly with our current partners.

I also got pg with my ex but, sadly, had a termination as I/we just wasn't ready. This decision has haunted me for the past 10 years, and now we're going through treatment makes me wonder whether I've 'missed my chance'. My dh has mostly abnormal sperm 96%, but after lots of arguing and a DNA test we found out a few months back that his child with his ex WAS his - and conceived naturally! That was a real blow for me, but I've got over it now.

Unfortunately, you never know where life will take you and then you end up here - the last place you'd ever imagine!

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is having kids doesn't mean you can't be part of this site - they say having been pg makes it more likely to happen again, so you could be one of the really lucky ones and only need one go.

I'm in for e/c Thursday so lots of rest, daytime TV and nice food for me until next Tuesday at least. And lots more waiting - its worth getting used to this, however frustrating it is as there is lots of waiting to be done during IVF!

Take Care

Fiona xx
