Symptoms - Burselin Injections

Post by Charmaine »

Apart from all the normal dr symptoms (nightsweats, headaches, etc) has anyone else experienced eye twitching. Odd I know but since starting the Burselin I have had this problem. I have my 1st scan tonight so will ask - but just wondered if maybe I was alone and going completely crazy :) lol

Charmaine
x
Hi Charmaine,

No eye twitching specifically but lots of every other twitches/shakes lasting about 3/4 hr after injecting. It worried the clinic a bit on my first ICSI cycle last July, but they quickly put me on Clarityn which I have to take about an hour before I inject Buserelin.

Before anyone reading gets too worried, they were only mild symptoms - but obvious. The clarityn sorts it out completely for me - but the clinic need to be aware of anything out of the ordinary to make a decision on what to do.

I'm curious to know what time 'tonight' you have your scan - I've only heard of morning appointments before. Mine was first thing this morning, and I start stims this eve so perhaps we're close cycle buddies?

Take care

Fiona xxx

Hi Charmaine!

I have been checking all messages for a while and thought I would let you know that I also had some eye twitching whilst on Buserelin. I didn't think much of it at the time but now you said it, I guess that was the reason why! It only lasted a day or so but stopped after stims started. I had no other side effects throughout down-reg & stims, except OHSS after egg collection. No ET but 10 embryos for FET. (had 42 eggs collected!!) This was in July - 1st go at ICSI. Start again in November after holiday to Tenerife.
Good luck from a fellow twitcher!

Michelle :-)

Thanks all - sorry for the delay replying but have come down with this awful flu/cold on top of everything else. Hey Ho. As for the eye twictching, after long searches I found that it is in fact quite normal for anyone to have a reacton to any medication, and more common are muscle tiwicthing motions - somethiong to do with the messages to and from brain, Supposedly all symptoms will subside when you finish medication - so watch this space.

Yes Fiona, I have scans from 5:30pm onwards - tonights is at 6:30pm. My EC is Monday 7th and hopefully Thurs for ET. I am currently being watched, as after only a week of stims I am already up to 28 follies. Feel very bloaty and sick and well basically ill.

Hope you guys are all doing better
Take care
Charmaine
x
