Being induced tomorrow - helppp!!!

Post by caz1 »

thanks so much for your replies to my previous message re measuring small. So SOOOO appreciated.
Well the "saga" continues.....went in today and the doctor measured amniotic fluid on the scan (he seems to have done this the last couple of weeks - anyone else ever had this done?)...anyway, its fallen from being 11cm last week to 8cm this week. Apparently 8cm is still normal but he's worried about the fall. My cervix is apparently getting conducive to induce labour - only problem is baby's head facing front not back (longer more painful labour!). Anyway looks like he wants to induce (because of falling fluid) - so I go in tomorrow night.

Am terrified! MOstly because I'm just so scared something's wrong - its all seems a bit sudden. Although I guess at 39 weeks I should have been a bit prepared for something. I just never expected this. Am pretty worried.........I just pray the baby is okay, what with measuring small and now this

Am meant to be measuring fetal movement - and although I do feel moves (not really kicks anymore though) - I paranoid that they are less (they've never been alot though). Anyway -stress stress ....never stops eh?

Keep your fingers crossed girls - feel like I need a bit of finger crossing.

Thanks for all your help and advice so far....if anyone else has ever been induced or has had a thing where they have had low or falling fluid I would love to hear your tales!

Big kiss and best of luck to you all!

caz... i'm so happy and excited for you, baby will be here soon.

i know its easy for me to say don't worry, but dont worry. if there were any immediate concerns then i'm sure you would be given a section rather than an induction.

so best wishes. (try to) enjoy every minute. look forward to seeing your update.

Caz, good luck tomorrow I'm sure everything will be fine and you'll be holding your baby before you know it.

From what I remember, the baby can't kick much at the end as there's not enough space left. In other words, what you're feeling is correct.

I'm looking forward to hearing your news in a few day's time :D

Try not to worry even though I know thats hard, everything will be ok.

Cant believe you will have your baby before me :( I'm getting really impatient now,I've got a hosp appiontment tomorrow where I'm going to ask them to give me a sweep,as I cant carry this around much longer as I'm the opposite to you and have always measured big for my dates.

Wishing you all teh best tomorrow, cant wait to read your news.

thanks lovelies....all the best to you too!!
Won't be long Gem!
I had sweep today....its a bit uncomfortable (bit like a smear) - but not bad at all. I had a bit of blood after and have had very slight period type pains today but nothing mega at all.
Will try and keep you in touch - will be hanging around tomorrow will will pop on then.

Still TOTALLY can't believe that I'll be lucky enough to actually HAVE a baby - in a way , I'm still in as much disbelief as I was the first day I found out I was pregnant (which seems a life time ago doesn't it fellow third trimester ladies??). Just praying it all goes okay..........

Big X

thanks babe. Got to admit, am bricking it....something very weird about KNOWING you are going to be in labour in a few hours (all being well, touch wood touch wood)
Always thought at this point I'd be running around like a maniac, but have completely ground to a halt -I think I'm in denial!
I still TOTALLY TOTALLY can't believe that I might have a baby....just keep think that something will be wrong. So not excited yet, just want to wait an see. Will keep you in touch - I promise

I looked for you on the main thread and couldn't track you down - hows things? Whats happening with you now? I really hope all is going okay - you are in my thoughts honey.....keep me in touch!

Take care
