Hi Girls,

SOrry if I was ranting yesterday, I think the drugs are getting to me and leaving me very hormonal.

Staci,

When I had my original scan my lining was 7mm and my AF was due in one week, after that the lining should have been less than 4mm and I could then start the ostregen tablets. However after my AF the lining went up to 13mm and they said i had to wait another week for the drugs to work and then start the tablets. When I went back last week my lining had gone down a little bit but then I had all this fluid and they said there was nothing they could do until this had gone.

The options for this week are to see if the fluid has gone and what state my lining is in, I'm bleeding all the time. If its no better then send me to another clinic for a different scan and get one of the experts to decide to what to do next.

They might give me another injection which lasts a month, this option I don't want as I think it will do the same thing again. I was on it for 6 months last year and had an AF for 4 months. Or they will make me stop and wait another few months, this option isn't cceptabe either as this is all that ever happens, as this may cause a hormone flare and then I'd get cysts and polyps again. My preferred option is for my lining to be Ok and then take the daily injections. The nurse was going to speak to my Consultant to see what he thought.

It just seems to be never stopping, I couldn't have my transfer in September because of a polyp and my cycle was stopped in August because of cysts that came back in September and hindered the growth of some eggs.

Nothing seems to go right in my treatment, at least today I can type without crying so the drugs musn't be as bad today.

Anyway PMA, PMA, PMA and Wednesday will go fine and I won't believe why I ranted so much.

Love,

Jane

Morning Ladies,

Hope your all ok i promise i'll catch up on everyones news later on i have sneaked on while the internet police (DH has nipped out !!) isnt around.
Hope you're all well ? Whatever stages you are at .
Well i had my ET yesterday and have 2 embies hopefully making themselves at home as i type, they were both 4 cells and one grade 1 and one grade 2, so now in the dreaded 2ww, am ok although feeling a little sore and bloated which isnt too surprising seeing as there was 23 eggs collected i suppose so i now have been loving nicknamed by my DH as his rhode island red (good layer apparently) so he has christened the embies foghorn and leghorn (anybody would believe he had been on all those drugs and not me) anyway i suppose it helps pass the time,
Test date is the 27th Jan !!

Speaking of which i better go before i get caught.
Promise to catch up soon.

Hi Staci,

Yes I had my appointment, and things are looking a little better. The fluid has gone and my lining is down to 7mm so one more week on brserilin and then they think I should be ready. I asked for some tablets to make me bleed more but they refused and said if still as bad next week they would givwe me them then.

So a little progress but not as much as I would want.

How about you how are you doing?

Ali,

Glad to hear your ET went well! Are you working this week or do you have time off (or, like me, do you not work?!).

Jane,

Well, at least they didn't have to cancel things so let's just hope for the best next week! This must make things really difficult for you as far as planning things in your life around it.

I am doing ok. I just doubled my estradiol dose today and will go in for another scan on Fri. to see how things are coming along. Next week my dose doubles yet again and, hopefully, if all goes well, they will tell me next week that the lining is thick enough and that I can start the progesterone which I have to start taking 5 days before the transfer. Things seem to be moving along kind of slowly but I dare not complain to you about that!

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

Hi everyone hope you are all ok.

There are quite a lot of us now for January and I am trying hard to catch up with where everyone is up to. Will get there soon I am sure.

Hi Alison

Hope you are resting up after your transfer and sending you lots of positive vibes. You could be our first january +ve. Keep us up to date. Take care of yourself.

I am on day 8 of downregging today, not feeling too bad. Go for a scan and blood test on tuesday to see how I am doing.

Thinking of you all and wishing you all lots of luck

Hi Staci,

You can complain as much as you want. You've been waiting for this as long as me.

It all seems to take such a long time every stage of the wya you are always waiting for something, to start treatment, scans, time for the drugs to work, more scans, its never ending. I don't know which part of the waiting game is worse.

The strange thing I'm wishing myself to bleed more so my lining will be thin, which is very unlike me as my periods are so heavy with my fibroids.

All being well if all OK next week I'll start taking the ostregen tablets and then have my transfer about 10 days after that so I might only be a few days well 5ish behind you and we can go through the pain of the 2ww together.

You are right it is very difficult to plan anyhting, I had a weeks holiday booked for this week as I thought it would all happen and had to cancel it and now I'm saying well it could be in a couple of weeks its depends on DH and if he can get a break in his work. He has his own business so its always very difficult for him to take a break.

ANyway better go and catch up with ER.

Wishing all the JCB's lots of luck.

Love,

Jane

Hi,

I'm now on day five of buserelin injections and things are going really well.
I'm surprised at how well I feel, I thought I'd have all the menopausal symptoms on the little leaflet in the medication box!
I do feel very tired though, but i can cope with that - no need for excuses to curl up in bed with a cup of hot chocolate at 9.30pm!
I just hope the stimms go okay.
I have slight AF type pains today so hopefully I'll start soon and get on with the rest of it.
My monthly cycle is usually all over the place, does buserelin help regulate it?
Hope everyone else is feeling okay at their stages of tmt.
Good luck to us all,
luv claire x

Hi all,

I had a scan and bloodwork today and was relieved that things are going according to schedule. My lining and estrogen levels were about half way there which they said was perfect for this stage of things. So, next week my estradiol tablets double again so that I'm taking 2 four times a day (yikes) and if everything looks good when I go in next Friday, then I'll definitely be having my transfer Jan. 26 (assuming my frosties make the thaw and of course my newest worry is that they won't now that everything else seems to be going ok!).

So far, no major side effects...except for one little outburst last night. I had finally cleaned our messy desk (no small task with my DH around since that seems to be where he drops everything) then DH got printing toner ink all over it. No sooner had I cleaned that up than one of our cats knocked over his full beer all over the desk.
I was so mad that I whacked the cat with the roll of paper towels I was cleaning with to get him out of my way....not very hard but, of course, DH looked at me like I had 2 heads and made me feel absolutely horrible about it (little does he know, it was either the cat or him!).

Claire,

I'm assuming buserelin is the same thing as Lupron which is what we use here to downreg. My cycle is all over the place too and my clinic has always told me Lupron would make me have AF sooner (usually is 35-50 days) but, unless I take BCP's with my cycle, it never seems to be the case for me! I may just be the odd case though.

I'm glad you are feeling well so far!

Glad to hear that you are doing well and feeling ok.

I feel ok too just really tired like you, but can certainly cope with chilling on the settee.

I had slight Af pains on thursday, but they have disappeared again today. Only got until tuesday so hope it arrives this weekend. have to ring on tuesday if Af not arrived and poss have to take the drugs we had in the first place to start Af.

When are you due to go back to St Mary's?

Take care and hope to speak soon

Lesley,

Good idea as I have completely lost track of where everyone is at too!

As for myself, I'm doing a medicated FET and will have ET on Jan. 26 as long as everything looks good at my appt. Fri. morning.

gday girls!
great idea lesley, im so confused (but that aint hard for me lol)
i just started 'sniffing' yesterday for the first time in my life - literally! i've never had any sort of nasal spray so everythings so new to me... the taste is yucko! i cant taste it straight away though, kinda happens after a few mins... i have a blood test 27th jan which is when i think i start the injections... its really quite overwhelming. we met our ivf nurse for the first time yesterday and thankfully she's so nice - the appt went for about 45mins so she was very thorough and also made dh practise the injections omg, i can imagine the arguments - im such a chicken aarrgghh anyways, if all goes well, EC will be round feb 8th where ET will be around feb 11th omg!!

to alisonb, wow, you're the first of our group to be on the 2ww! im thinking of u and sending u the bestest vibes, its nerve-wrecking but exciting!!! :) omg, i just realised, we'll both be having a blood test on jan 27th wow but yours is waaay more important!! i'll be praying for u!!

and to all of us, hope our cycles and drugs r good to us!

Hi everyone

Here is my update too.

I am on bureselin injections at the moment. I have been to the hospital today for a blood test and a scan.

As I am still on my Af they said that my lining is slightly too thick. I have to carry on with bureselin and now go back on sunday for a further scan. If my lining is ok then, they will then start me on the stimms.

Hope everyone is ok. Take Care
